Goa Institute of Management (GIM) does not publish a numeric CAT, XAT or GMAT percentile cutoff on the 2027–29 admissions pages captured for this guide. Its published process says applicants need a recognised bachelor’s degree with at least 50% aggregate marks, must have appeared for or cleared CAT 2026, XAT 2027 or an eligible GMAT, and are assessed through profile-based shortlisting and an interview. That establishes the application route and minimum degree eligibility; it does not establish a guaranteed test-score threshold or an admission promise.
For the full-time PGDM programmes, GIM states a minimum 50% aggregate in a bachelor’s degree. The FAQ adds that the minimum is 45% for SC/ST candidates and describes the degree as a three-year bachelor’s degree or equivalent recognised by the Association of Indian Universities or AICTE. Candidates completing their degree requirements by 5 June 2027 may apply, subject to meeting the stated marks condition. These are academic eligibility rules, not CAT/XAT/GMAT cutoffs. Applicants should check the current official eligibility page for any programme-specific condition before applying.
The distinction matters because a minimum qualifying degree percentage does not tell you how competitive your entrance score is, and a score threshold used for shortlisting would not replace the degree requirement. GIM’s captured page does not give a universal score at which an applicant is sure to receive an interview or offer. Treat third-party percentile estimates as external estimates unless GIM itself publishes a matching programme, category, round and cycle rule.
For the 2027–29 cycle, the page lists CAT 2026, XAT 2027 and GMAT taken from 1 January 2025 through 15 January 2027. GIM says applicants should ask GMAC to send the GMAT score by 31 January 2027 and specifies that it accepts GMAT scores from in-person examinations at authorised test centres. The captured FAQ says CAT/XAT scores are obtained from IIM/XLRI rather than sent by the applicant. Follow the official application instructions for the score-reporting process and do not assume that a test sitting outside the listed window will be considered.
Applicants for PGDM in Big Data Analytics (BDA) also need to take GIM’s Analytics Aptitude Test (GAAT). The admissions page gives 31 January 2027 as the GAAT date and describes it as an online, 75-minute multiple-choice test. This is an additional programme requirement; it is not a substitute for CAT, XAT or GMAT. The captured material does not state a numeric GAAT qualifying mark, so none should be inferred.
GIM describes the Achiever’s Round as profile-based. Its FAQ says candidates may initially be shortlisted for that round without considering CAT/XAT/GMAT scores, with scores factored in later. The page identifies achievements and backgrounds that can support consideration, including specified academic, professional and professional-qualification profiles. It does not say that participation waives the entrance-test requirement or guarantees admission. If an applicant is not offered a place after the Achiever’s interview, the FAQ says the scores can still be considered in regular-round interview evaluations.
The FAQ says there is no reservation for Goan candidates. It separately says the qualifying competitive-exam score for personal-interview selection may be lowered by up to 15 points for candidates of Goan domicile or origin. This is a possible adjustment to the qualifying score for interview selection, not a fixed 15-point deduction for every applicant, a seat quota, or a publicly stated percentile cutoff. The same FAQ gives documentary routes for domicile or origin; applicants should verify their eligibility and evidence directly with GIM before relying on the adjustment.
GIM’s fees and financial-aid page describes a merit scholarship for applicants with 95 percentile or higher in CAT or XAT, alongside other academic and selection conditions. That figure is presented as part of a scholarship rule. It is not identified as the minimum admission cutoff and should not be used to predict whether someone will be shortlisted or admitted. Scholarship eligibility can also depend on conditions beyond the test percentile, so read the complete current terms rather than treating one number as a guarantee.
The official pages reviewed for this 2027–29 guide publish test names, score windows, the bachelor’s marks requirement, a possible Goan interview-selection adjustment and the BDA GAAT requirement, but no numeric overall CAT/XAT/GMAT percentile floor. They also do not publish a table broken down by programme, category, round and test score. This is a statement about the reviewed pages, not proof that GIM has never used an internal shortlist threshold. If GIM later publishes a score rule or confirms one in writing, compare it only with the same cycle and programme and check whether it refers to application eligibility, interview shortlisting, scholarship eligibility or final selection.
Before applying, confirm that your degree and marks meet the stated rule, check that your exam and GMAT reporting dates fit the 2027–29 schedule, and identify whether you need GAAT or documentary proof for the Goan adjustment. For a personal estimate, use your complete profile and the latest official instructions; do not convert a scholarship percentile or an unverified coaching estimate into an admission cutoff. The captured pages are current-cycle material and can change, so applicants should recheck GIM’s official admissions site before acting.
