First separate the programme fees from the next intake price

IMS Ghaziabad’s fee page currently carries a 2026-28 title and publishes a PGDM academic-fee schedule totalling ₹9.5 lakh. Its listed instalments run from July 2027 through December 2028. The institute’s homepage, checked on 5 November 2026, still promoted the 2026-28 batch, so these dates and amounts are useful for understanding the published schedule, but they do not establish a confirmed 2027-29 offer. Ask for the fee letter tied to your admission batch before paying.

The PGDM is a two-year full-time diploma. IMS says it is AICTE-approved, NBA-accredited and considered equivalent to an MBA by the Association of Indian Universities. That equivalence does not change the award name: it remains a PGDM. The separate Fellow Programme in Management (FPM) is a four-year doctoral route, offered full-time residential or in an executive format. Compare only like programmes when you budget.

PGDM academic fee: ₹9.5 lakh in the displayed schedule

The fee page divides the published academic fee into ₹5 lakh for year one and ₹4.5 lakh for year two. The first-year table lists ₹75,000 as registration, then ₹1.5 lakh on 15 July 2027, ₹1.5 lakh on 15 October 2027 and ₹1.25 lakh on 31 December 2027. Year two lists three ₹1.5 lakh instalments on 15 June, 15 October and 15 December 2028. Together these two year totals equal the page’s ₹9.5 lakh academic-fee figure.

This is academic fee, not a complete residential budget. The page says payment can be made by online transfer, demand draft or website, and states that refund and cancellation follow AICTE norms. Because the schedule page is titled for 2026-28 while its instalment dates extend into 2028, verify the applicable dates and amount against your own offer instead of carrying them forward to another batch.

Before using the table as a cash-flow plan, request the signed offer’s installment schedule and ask whether any non-academic charges fall due at registration. The published table gives amounts and dates but is not a substitute for the payment terms attached to your offer. Keep academic tuition, annual accommodation and refundable security in separate budget lines, then compare the total payable before each date. Save the written fee schedule and payment receipts so a later change can be checked against the terms you accepted.

Hostel is quoted per year, with a separate refundable security amount

The page lists a two-seater room with mess at ₹1.6 lakh per annum and hostel security of ₹5,000, producing the displayed ₹1.65 lakh total. The deadline printed on that page is 31 May 2027. Do not multiply the annual hostel charge into a two-year total without confirming whether the next year’s rate, room allotment and payment schedule will be the same.

IMS says hostel rooms are allotted for a full year, with no pro-rata allotment, and that no refund is permitted once a room has been allotted. It also says hostel fees may change without prior notice. These conditions make the timing of your decision material: ask the hostel office to confirm the room, the current-year charge, what the refundable security covers and the refund rule in writing before remitting money. The academic-fee page separately says academic-fee refund and cancellation follow AICTE norms; those terms should not be assumed to govern the hostel charge.

Application charges are separate from tuition

The PGDM admission procedure lists a ₹1,100 application charge without attaching it to a named upcoming batch. The FPM procedure lists ₹5,100 for its application form, also without a current intake year in the displayed text. Neither amount is part of the PGDM ₹9.5 lakh tuition total. Confirm the live portal amount and payment conditions before submitting either application.

The FPM programme page currently describes a four-year doctoral programme, with full-time residential and executive options. The pages reviewed here do not provide a current FPM tuition or stipend schedule for a named 2027 intake. Treat any older brochure or figure circulating elsewhere as historical until IMS supplies a dated fee and funding letter. A doctoral stipend is also not a tuition discount: check eligibility, duration, continuation conditions and whether it applies to the format you plan to join.

Build a batch-specific budget before accepting an offer

For a PGDM decision, start with the institute’s written academic-fee schedule, then add the hostel quote only if you need accommodation. Keep the refundable hostel security separate from the room-and-mess charge, and ask whether any other compulsory charges apply. The public page describes the fee as subject to change without prior notice, so save the dated notice or offer that governs your payment.

For FPM, first confirm whether you are applying to the full-time residential or executive format, then request the current tuition, accommodation obligations and any funding terms as a single written schedule. Do not use the PGDM fee table for FPM or infer a current doctoral stipend from a programme description. Until IMS publishes a batch-specific FPM schedule, the responsible budget figure is unresolved rather than zero.
