Institute of Management Studies (IMS) (IMS Ghaziabad) in Uttar Pradesh has historical cutoff records for ATMA, CMAT, CAT, MAT on this page. There is no single cutoff for the whole college: read each course, category, quota and round separately. Coverage below reflects the records on this page.
The latest recorded year is 2023. 3 records in that group cover 1 named category. Across the available years, 3 distinct course labels are recorded.

IMS Ghaziabad’s PGDM admission procedure states a bachelor’s-degree eligibility rule and a multi-part final-selection formula, but it does not give a minimum CAT, XAT, CMAT or MAT percentile for a GD-PI call or final admission. A candidate’s entrance score is one part of the published evaluation, not a standalone cutoff in the information reviewed here. The institute’s visible homepage promoted the 2026-28 batch when checked on 5 November 2026; no 2027-29 score threshold or selection calendar is established by that banner.
Do not use a coaching-site estimate, a previous intake’s call percentile or a scholarship threshold as if it were an IMS admission cutoff. The safest question for admissions is whether the current batch has a published exam-wise shortlisting threshold, whether it varies by category or score year, and whether the answer applies to a GD-PI call or the final merit list. Until IMS publishes that rule, the cutoff is unknown rather than zero.
The PGDM procedure says applicants need a bachelor’s degree of at least three years with 50% marks, or an equivalent qualification in any discipline recognized by UGC or AICTE. This is an academic eligibility condition. It does not mean that 50% graduation marks is an entrance-test cutoff, nor that meeting the degree rule guarantees an interview or admission.
The page says fresh graduates and candidates with relevant work experience may apply. Final-year candidates may also apply, subject to submitting proof of passing by the time they join; the exact deadline is communicated in an offer letter and the page describes 31 December of the admission year as typical. These are eligibility and document conditions, not CAT/XAT/CMAT percentiles. Confirm the rule in the current batch notice if your degree is not complete when you apply.
IMS’s detailed final-selection table assigns 20% to graduation, Class 12 and Class 10 performance; 20% to the entrance test; 10% to a Written Aptitude Test; 25% to the personal interview; and 25% to the group discussion. The published formula therefore gives the entrance component one fifth of the stated total. It does not publish the score-to-points conversion, the normalization method across tests, a percentile floor or a formula for shortlisting candidates to GD-PI.
This is a composite process. A high entrance percentile can strengthen one component, but the page does not state that it guarantees a GD-PI call or final selection. Likewise, a strong school record does not replace the entrance component. Ask the admissions team how each academic record is converted into points and how each exam’s score is placed on the same scale before comparing your profile with any past cutoff estimate.
IMS’s overview table says the selection route is CAT, XAT or CMAT followed by GD-PI and WAT. The detailed final-selection table includes MAT alongside CAT, XAT and CMAT, while the application document list asks applicants to attach a CAT, XAT or CMAT score. These lists do not fully match. The page also does not identify whether every listed exam is accepted for the same batch or explain the score-validity window.
This mismatch matters if you are applying with MAT or planning around a particular score year. Do not assume the test in the detailed weighting table overrides the application checklist, and do not assume an older exam list applies to a later intake. Ask IMS in writing which exams are accepted for your exact batch, which score date is valid, and whether the 20% entrance component uses percentile, scaled score or another conversion. Save the answer with your application records.
The separate scholarship information on the IMS admissions portal groups benefits by exam-percentile bands, including CAT/XAT bands above 90, 80-90 and 70-80, plus separate CMAT and MAT criteria. Those are scholarship criteria, not the PGDM’s admission cutoff. A threshold associated with a tuition award cannot be used to conclude that a candidate below it will not receive an interview or that a candidate above it will be admitted.
Before planning finances around a scholarship, verify the current award terms and the exact exam/category conditions. Keep three questions separate: whether your degree profile meets admission eligibility, whether your test score qualifies you for shortlisting, and whether your score meets a scholarship band. The official procedure page does not publish a universal percentile threshold for the second question.
Use the published weights to prepare across the full selection process: maintain evidence for your school and graduation record, prepare for the written test component, and practise explaining your decisions in a personal interview and group discussion. This is a preparation plan based on the institute’s stated stages, not a prediction of an individual selection score.
Before applying, request the current batch’s accepted-exam list, score-validity window, any category-wise shortlisting threshold, the WAT/GD-PI sequence, and the score-normalization method. Also ask whether the reported threshold is a minimum eligibility gate, a historical last-called score or a guarantee. Those terms describe different things. Until IMS publishes a batch-specific cutoff and method, treat the selection formula as the available rule and leave any numeric entrance threshold unresolved.
