JIIT Noida Admission 2026-27: Eligibility, Routes and Counselling
Identify the right institution and cycle
Jaypee Institute of Information Technology (JIIT) is the deemed-to-be university at Sector 62, Noida. Its 2026 supplementary admission brochure is shared across four institutions: JIIT Noida appears in Part A; JUIT Waknaghat, JUET Guna and Jaypee University at Anoopshahr each have separate parts. This guide uses only JIIT’s Part A rules. A common “Jaypee” application or brochure does not make admission transferable between campuses.
JIIT’s admissions page currently labels the 2026 cycle closed. The dates below are therefore historical 2026-27 information, not an open application schedule. The sources reviewed do not establish a 2027-28 application window, deadline, application fee or cutoff. Before applying in a later year, confirm the new brochure and notice on JIIT’s official site.
BTech and integrated MTech: JEE Main or 10+2 merit
The 2026 brochure describes a JEE Main All India Rank route and a separate 10+2 marks route for BTech and integrated MTech. The JEE route used JEE Main 2026 AIR. For the 10+2 route, selection was based on marks in the subjects specified for the chosen programme. Applicants who wanted consideration through more than one mode were instructed to submit separate forms and pay the applicable fee for each mode.
For JEE-based admission, applicants needed to have passed every qualifying subject and reached 60% aggregate in Class 12 or equivalent (55% for SC/ST applicants). Physics and Mathematics were compulsory, with one additional subject from the brochure’s accepted list, including Chemistry, Computer Science, Electronics, Information Technology, Biology, Informatics Practices, Biotechnology, technical vocational subjects, Agriculture, Engineering Graphics, Business Studies and Entrepreneurship. The 2026 brochure covered students who had passed Class 12 in 2024 or 2025 or were appearing in 2026. These exam-year limits and thresholds belong to that intake; check the next brochure for updates.
JIIT drew the JEE merit list from JEE Main 2026 AIR, not from a different rank category. The brochure said the first online counselling round was common across JIIT Noida, JUIT Waknaghat, JUET Guna and Jaypee University, Anoopshahr. Each university handled later rounds for its own seats, and an admission could not be transferred between the four institutions. Check the campus named in the choice form and offer before paying.
The 10+2 marks route had programme-specific subject combinations. For regular engineering branches other than Biotechnology or Bioinformatics, the brochure required Physics and Mathematics plus one listed additional subject. Biotechnology/Bioinformatics used a different combination centered on Biology or Biotechnology. Applicants should select the exact programme in the form and confirm its own subject clause rather than assume that a general PCM label covers every branch.
Counselling, choices and payments
For JEE counselling, candidates were asked to upload the final JEE Main scorecard showing the Common Rank List (CRL) and QR code, along with their Class 12 marksheet. Eligible applicants could update programme choices before the scheduled counselling date. Seat allocation followed JEE Main AIR and the preferences in the choice form; the brochure also described an option for programme or branch upgradation according to merit and the candidate’s priority order.
The brochure called ₹60,000 an initial fee for the 2026 JEE counselling process. It said this amount would be adjusted against first-semester academic dues for candidates offered admission, or held as a wait-listed fee until an offer was made. After seat allocation, a provisional admission letter was issued, and the remaining amount stated in that offer had to be paid by its due date to confirm the seat. This is not a current fee quote or a later intake’s payment schedule.
The supplementary brochure also described lateral entry/direct admission to the second year of BTech. The 2026 routes included a three-year diploma in the same branch, a BSc in Science subjects with Mathematics, or BVoc/three-year DVoc study in the same or an allied sector. Marks, pass status and availability depended on the exact route and programme. Selection was merit-based on qualifying-exam marks; candidates had to produce evidence of eligibility by the date stated in the offer.
Other undergraduate routes
The 2026 brochure covered BBA, BCA, BSc, BCom and BA Journalism and Mass Communication as well as engineering. These routes did not all rely on JEE Main. For BBA, the brochure described a school-marks route using English and two listed subjects, or CUET-UG merit using the General Test, English and one listed subject. For BCA, the qualifying school study had to include Mathematics or a Computer Science subject. Its CUET-UG combination used Mathematics or Computer Science/Informatics Practices, English and the General Test.
BSc eligibility and selection subjects varied by specialisation. The brochure set different combinations for Computer Science and Forensic Science and described programme-specific CUET-UG subjects. BCom and Journalism and Mass Communication also had their own subject rules. An applicant should check the exact programme clause and the current brochure instead of treating the university’s general undergraduate threshold as the only condition.
For several named undergraduate routes, the 2026 brochure accepted candidates who passed Class 12 in 2024 or 2025 or were appearing in 2026, required a pass in each subject and listed a 60% aggregate threshold (55% for SC/ST). Programme clauses can add required subjects or route-specific tests. The university’s admissions page gives a broad programme overview; the supplementary brochure contains the detailed 2026 rules.
Postgraduate, MBA and PhD applications
Postgraduate admission was programme-specific. The 2026 brochure listed MTech routes through the university’s PGET and set a qualifying bachelor’s degree, relevant discipline and marks threshold. MCA, MSc, MDes and other programmes had their own prior-study and subject rules; some used university tests or CUET-PG. Confirm the current programme page before relying on an older test name, accepted qualification or score.
The brochure listed separate MBA programmes, including general MBA, Hospital and Healthcare Management, and MBA in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science. It scheduled Group Discussion and Personal Interview rounds during 2026. Applicants should verify the current selection stages and accepted test scores for the particular MBA specialisation they want; the older schedule does not establish a future cycle.
JIIT’s brochure says PhD admissions are held twice a year and sends applicants to the university website for details. The cited document does not provide one universal doctoral deadline. Prospective researchers should check the current departmental or PhD notice for supervisor availability, entrance-test requirements, exemptions, interview stages and dates.
Forms, documents and follow-through
The 2026 brochure directed applicants to apply online through the JIIT website and the Jaypee admissions portal, or collect an offline form from the admissions counter. Applicants were advised to use a personal email address and a phone number they could keep active throughout counselling. They were asked to save the Application ID and confirmation, review programme choices before final submission and retain a copy. The brochure said changes would not be permitted after submission, although candidates would be notified before online counselling to finalise choices.
Documents depend on the route. Undergraduate applicants generally needed their Class 12 marksheet; JEE-based BTech applicants also needed the final JEE Main scorecard showing CRL and QR code. Category claims required the relevant certificate. Postgraduate applicants needed final-year or pre-final-year marksheets as applicable, while lateral-entry applicants needed the latest diploma or undergraduate marksheet. The brochure warned that incomplete applications would not be considered and asked candidates awaiting final results to upload them by the relevant programme deadline.
After receiving a provisional offer, check the campus, programme, category, document conditions and payment deadline in the offer letter. Keep payment receipts and monitor the registered email, including spam folders, for counselling and verification messages. If a later notice changes a date or condition, that cycle’s notice takes precedence over this 2026-27 reference.
Scholarships and category support
The 2026 brochure described a Tuition Fee Waiver (TFW) scheme for BTech: 2% of seats were offered under the scheme, allocated on merit, for applicants with family income below ₹8 lakh per year. It required an income certificate issued by a state authority. The brochure separately listed two seats per BTech programme at JIIT Noida for Jammu and Kashmir students under the Prime Minister’s Special Scholarship Scheme. It also referenced a concession for specified Kashmiri migrant and Kashmiri Pandit/Hindu families from the Kashmir Valley.
These are separate provisions with their own eligibility and documents, not a general fee discount. The cited brochure does not establish that the same seat allocations or income threshold will apply in a later intake. Confirm the current scholarship notice and timing with the admissions office.
Verify the next intake
The 2026 brochure’s counselling and application milestones fell in May and June 2026, and the admissions page now marks that cycle closed. Do not use those dates as a 2027 calendar or assume late applications are possible. For a new intake, first confirm that the notice is for JIIT Noida rather than JUIT or JUET, then check the programme, route, eligible exam year, application deadline, fee, documents and counselling method in the newly issued brochure.
