Start with the programme and its duration

MANIT’s programme lists are useful for comparing the institution’s broad course families, but the published catalogue editions are dated. The UG catalogue for 2025-26 describes four-year B.Tech and B.Plan programmes, a five-year B.Arch and five-year B.Tech-M.Tech dual degrees. It names dual degrees in Mathematics and Data Science and Engineering and Computational Mechanics. The PG catalogue for 2025-26 lists M.Tech, M.Plan, MCA, MBA and M.Sc programmes, plus a three-year integrated M.Sc-to-M.Tech option in Materials and Metallurgical Engineering. A course title alone does not tell you the fee basis. Before comparing two options, confirm degree duration, admission category, semester count, whether the amount is tuition or a billed semester total, and whether hostel and mess charges are included.

How to read the 2026-27 fee schedule

The institute’s 2026-27 fee document separates one-time charges, recurring semester charges, refundable caution money, tuition by category, and residential costs. Its total is not a whole-course price. For budgeting, use the table for your exact programme and applicant category, then keep the first semester separate from later semesters. For example, the 2026-27 B.Tech schedule lists first-semester day-scholar totals of ₹25,750 for SC/ST/PwD candidates and candidates in the listed low-income tuition category, ₹46,584 for General/OBC/EWS candidates in the ₹1-5 lakh family-income band, and ₹88,250 for the listed above-₹5-lakh band. From semester two onward, the corresponding day-scholar amounts are ₹12,150, ₹32,984 and ₹74,650. These are semester amounts, not annual fees. The underlying tuition category and family-income threshold are part of the condition; do not reuse the number without them.

Hostel, refundable and recurring costs

The same B.Tech schedule shows double-occupancy hosteller totals for semester one of ₹48,750, ₹69,584 and ₹1,11,250 for those same three fee categories. From semester two onward, the listed totals are ₹30,150, ₹50,984 and ₹92,650. These totals include the schedule’s hostel maintenance and usage charges, while the mess remains extra and hostel allotment is not guaranteed. The schedule also identifies a ₹5,000 refundable institute caution deposit, a ₹5,000 refundable hostel caution deposit and one-time charges; refundable amounts should not be treated as recurring tuition.

For the 2026-27 full-time postgraduate schedule, MANIT lists semester-one day-scholar totals of ₹59,500 for regular M.Tech through CCMT in the open/OBC/EWS category, ₹24,500 for the SC/ST/PwD category, ₹60,500 and ₹25,500 for regular M.Plan in those categories, and ₹32,000 and ₹24,500 for M.Sc through CCMN. Later-semester day-scholar totals differ: ₹45,900/₹10,900 for M.Tech, ₹46,900/₹11,900 for M.Plan and ₹18,400/₹10,900 for M.Sc. Each pair follows the same category order. The document’s M.Tech/M.Plan schedule includes separate tuition relief by category, so compare the line for your category rather than assuming a uniform PG price.

MBA, MCA, MRME and doctoral fees

The 2026-27 full-time PG table lists first-semester day-scholar totals of ₹59,500 for regular MCA through NIMCET, MBA and MRME; it lists ₹45,900 from semester two onward. These figures are semester totals, not tuition alone or the total degree cost. The schedule has separate values for sponsored, self-financed, part-time and other categories; use the relevant column rather than applying the regular full-time amount to every applicant.

The same schedule separates full-time and part-time Ph.D. fees. It lists semester tuition of ₹10,000 for full-time and part-time institute/sponsored candidates and ₹5,000 for part-time internal candidates, with other recurring fees listed separately. It states that hostel facilities are not available for Ph.D. students. Since the table presents tuition and additional items in separate rows, do not describe one line as the full doctoral cost. For international applicants, the 2026-27 document uses US dollars for DASA tuition and selected charges. Keep that currency and applicant route distinct from the domestic INR schedule. The institute’s admission page links separate UG, PG and DASA fee notices, so a domestic first-semester estimate should not be carried across routes.

Build a realistic budget before choosing

1. Match the degree and entry category. A regular M.Tech through CCMT, sponsored M.Tech and part-time M.Tech do not share one fee column. The same is true of domestic and DASA applicants.
2. Use the semester total for your residence choice. Compare day-scholar and hosteller totals only after confirming the room type and whether hostel accommodation is allotted.
3. Separate one-time and refundable items. Caution deposits and admission-time charges are not recurring semester tuition. Check the institute’s refund rules for the current session.
4. Add the excluded costs. The fee document says mess charges are extra; plan separately for food, travel, books, personal expenses and any programme-specific costs that are not included in the listed total.
5. Do not multiply one semester blindly. Tuition concessions, later-year fee tables, integrated programmes and part-time categories can change the amount across the degree. Use every semester row in the current official schedule.

The most useful comparison is therefore not a single headline “course fee.” It is the programme- and category-specific semester charge, plus residence, mess and one-time costs, with the admission year written beside every amount.
