There is no CLAT 2027 closing-rank dataset before the examination and 2027 allotment rounds. The Consortium has scheduled the test for 6 December 2026. Any table claiming to show a final 2027 cutoff now is a prediction, not an official result. Historical lists can inform preference planning, provided their year and scope remain clear.
What a cutoff means
“Cutoff” is often used informally for the rank of the last candidate allotted a seat in a particular list. The Consortium’s CLAT 2026 second provisional list separates the five-year integrated law programme from LL.M. and links institution-specific lists. It is historical evidence for 2026, not a CLAT 2027 outcome. CLAT 2026 second allotment list
A comparison must match the NLU and campus, degree, category or quota, counselling round and rank field. Do not compare an all-India seat with a domicile-reserved seat, or an early list with a later vacancy notice. Check whether the value is an opening rank, closing rank or simply the rank of a listed candidate.
Why lists change
Later allotments reflect candidate preferences, seat availability and institution rules. Candidates may accept or withdraw offers, and vacancies may be managed through separate notices. The CLAT 2026 vacant-seat page says it publishes only notices sent by NLUs and directs candidates to contact an institution when a notice is absent. This demonstrates why a single list may not cover every university-level step. CLAT 2026 vacant-seat information
Use older ranks carefully
Make a comparison sheet with year, list number, institution, campus, programme, category, quota and rank type. Prefer official allotment records and compare more than one round when available. A closing rank is not a safe score or admission promise. Score-to-rank relationships can change with the paper and candidate performance, so last year’s score chart cannot guarantee a future rank.
Build a preference order around programmes you would attend after checking current eligibility, reservation and fees. Do not limit choices based on one old number. Wait for the CLAT 2027 result and official allotment notices before describing any rank as a 2027 cutoff.
