CLAT 2027 dates matter for two separate tasks: submitting a complete application and appearing at the time assigned to you. The Consortium’s current instructions list 3 August 2026 as the opening date and 31 October 2026, 11:59 p.m. as the application deadline. The examination is scheduled for Sunday, 6 December 2026, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Eligible PwD candidates are allotted until 4:40 p.m. The Consortium says the examination schedule may be revised if necessary, so treat the official portal and later notices as controlling. CLAT 2027 dates announced by the Consortium
These dates are for CLAT 2027, which the Consortium associates with admissions to programmes commencing in academic year 2027-28. They should not be reused as the schedule for a later CLAT cycle. The exam timing is published as subject to revision in case of necessity. A later official notice may modify a milestone, clarify a process, or provide additional instructions. Check the portal again before relying on a saved calendar entry.
How to manage the application deadline
Do not leave payment and final submission until the final evening. The Consortium says incomplete applications are not considered and requires the form to be complete and paid by the closing time. Create your account early, confirm that you can access the registered email and mobile number, and gather the photograph, signature and applicable certificates before starting. Keep the payment receipt and a copy of the submitted form. After payment, verify the form status in the candidate account rather than assuming that a payment attempt equals successful submission.
The instructions warn that after submission and payment, the programme, category and BPL fields cannot be changed, and updates are not accepted after the deadline. Check the UG or PG selection, name spellings, category, test-city preferences and uploaded documents carefully. If the Consortium announces a correction window or deadline extension, follow that notice exactly; do not assume a correction period exists unless it is officially announced.
After the application closes
Use only the dates and instructions published for your candidate group. The Consortium states that the admit card will be downloadable from the candidate account and that its exact availability date will be announced on the website. This means an expected admit-card date on an unofficial calendar is not a confirmed release date. Once the notice appears, download the card and check the centre, exam date, reporting time and any candidate-specific instruction. Recheck the portal if a later notice applies to your test city or examination.
The Consortium FAQ places counselling in December 2026 or January 2027, while exact dates and round instructions must come from the current counselling notices. That broad month range is not a substitute for registration and payment deadlines for an individual round. Result publication, answer-key objections and counselling each have their own announcements. Monitor the official site after the test and act on the specific notice rather than waiting for a third-party schedule.
Keep a reliable date record
Save the current official schedule page and any later notice that changes it. Record the notice date, the milestone it affects and whether it applies to UG, PG or a defined candidate group. If two dates conflict, use the newest notice from the Consortium that directly addresses the milestone. For centre-specific instructions, use the candidate’s own admit card and notices that explicitly apply to that centre or candidate group. Do not infer that an old deadline was extended merely because an older page remains visible.
As of 27 October 2026, the listed CLAT 2027 exam date is 6 December 2026 and applications are scheduled to close on 31 October 2026. Verify the live portal for changes before submitting or travelling.
