AIMA releases separate admit cards for MAT December 2026 PBT and CBT. The current candidate notice says the PBT card becomes available from 5 pm on 17 December 2026 and the test is on 20 December. The CBT card becomes available from 5 pm on 24 December and the test is on 27 December. Candidates download the card from the applicant dashboard at mat.aima.in. The card, not the city preference entered during registration, gives the assigned test date, time and venue address.
When and where to download
Use the official MAT portal and sign in to the applicant dashboard with the credentials created during registration. AIMA’s December notice schedules the PBT card release for 17 December 2026 from 5 pm onwards and the CBT card release for 24 December from 5 pm onwards. If registered for both modes, check the dashboard for the card applicable to each test and keep both available. The dates are specific to the December 2026 administration; AIMA has not supplied a 2027 release schedule in the current notice.
AIMA’s general FAQ says provisionally registered candidates can download the card from the MAT website’s applicant dashboard. The current cycle notice is more precise for December: it lists a release time and each test date. If a card is not visible at the expected time, first verify that the application is confirmed and that you are checking the correct candidate account and mode. Refresh the official portal after a short interval and check for a notice about a delay. A missing card should be raised through AIMA’s official contact channel; do not use unofficial download links or share login details with an intermediary.
Check every detail on the card
AIMA says the admit card contains the candidate’s name, form number, roll number, test date, test time and test venue address. Check these details as soon as the download becomes available. Confirm that the card belongs to the correct candidate and mode, and compare the spelling and identifying numbers with the registration confirmation. Check the test date and time against your own calendar and verify the full venue address, not only the city name.
The card is the key operational document for the exam. AIMA instructs candidates to follow the date and time allotted on it. If a venue or timing differs from what you expected, the assigned card details control your travel plan. Do not assume that a preferred city entered during registration is the final centre. AIMA publishes test cities separately, while the individual venue appears on the admit card.
Keep an accessible digital copy and a backup in a place available on test day. The current candidate notice identifies the card fields but does not provide a full list of permitted identification documents or test-centre items. Check the latest instructions on the card and the official MAT portal for those requirements. Do not infer a universal ID rule or carry-item policy from another examination.
If a detail is wrong or the card is unavailable
If the name, form number, roll number, date, time or venue appears incorrect, contact AIMA promptly using the contact details published on its candidate page. AIMA lists [email protected], helpline numbers 81303 38839 and 95990 30586, and landline 011-47673020. The page states that the helplines operate from 9 am to 5:30 pm and the landline is available Monday to Friday during the listed hours. Keep the application number, payment confirmation, a screenshot of the issue and a clear description of the requested correction ready. These are practical steps to help support staff identify the record; AIMA’s notice does not promise a correction window or guarantee that an error can be changed after card release.
Use only contact details published by AIMA. Avoid sending passwords, full card details or other payment credentials in an email. If the portal is temporarily unavailable, retain evidence of the error and retry through the official website. A third-party listing or social-media post should not be treated as confirmation of a revised venue or time unless AIMA publishes the same instruction.
The current December 2026 notice does not announce a correction window for the admit card. If AIMA posts a separate correction procedure or schedule revision, follow that notice and retain any acknowledgment. If the card is correct but a candidate cannot attend, the opened information does not describe a test-date transfer or refund route. Contact AIMA and check the current terms rather than assuming a rescheduling option.
Plan the route from the assigned venue
Once the card is available, map the complete address and estimate travel time using the mode and city shown on it. Build in time for local travel uncertainty and check the venue’s directions from a reliable map or transport source. Confirm whether the location is a campus, building or centre within a larger complex; a city name alone is not enough for navigation. If you are travelling from another city, arrange transport and accommodation using the final card details.
The admit card may not include every test-day rule. Read all instructions printed on it and any current AIMA notice that applies to the selected mode. The AIMA page confirms that the card gives the assigned date, time and venue but does not specify in the current candidate notice reviewed here a complete list of documents, prohibited items, reporting buffer or late-entry consequences. Follow the card and any later official instructions for those details.
For CBT candidates, AIMA’s general FAQ describes the test as computer-delivered at a centre. For PBT, the FAQ describes a paper question paper and OMR answer sheet at a test centre. These descriptions help distinguish the modes, but the December admit card remains the source for the assigned venue and timing. The current December notice lists PBT and CBT and does not list a home-based remote test mode.
December 2026 release and test schedule
Both cards are obtained through the MAT applicant dashboard. The release-to-test interval is short: three calendar days from the PBT card date to its test date, and three calendar days from the CBT card date to its test date when measured as date differences. Treat those as schedule intervals, not a promise that the card will appear at a specific instant beyond AIMA’s stated 5 pm release time. Download and validate it immediately so there is time to raise a problem through the official channel.
The current source establishes the December 2026 schedule only. No 2027 admit-card date was announced in the official pages checked on 27 October 2026. Candidates considering a later MAT administration should use that cycle’s new notice rather than copy these dates.
Final admit-card checklist
- Sign in at the official MAT applicant dashboard after the release time for your mode.
- Download the PBT card, CBT card or both according to the registration submitted.
- Check name, form number, roll number, test date, time and complete venue address.
- Contact AIMA promptly if the card is missing or an identifying field appears wrong.
- Follow the card and any current official instructions for test-day documents and reporting.
- Plan travel using the assigned venue, and keep the card accessible on test day.
A valid card confirms the operational details of the registered test. It does not replace the school’s separate application or admissions requirements. Keep school deadlines and MAT test instructions in separate checklists.
