IBS Ahmedabad offers a single postgraduate programme: the two-year Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGPM) for the 2026–2028 batch. Applicants looking at a broader IBS choice should note that the PGPM label is campus-specific; IBS Hyderabad, Bangalore, Jaipur, and Dehradun run MBA programmes under the same network but at different fee points, so an Ahmedabad admission does not carry an MBA degree.
The programme runs across four semesters over two years. According to IBS's programme description at ibsindia.org/mba, the curriculum is designed around broad management exposure rather than early specialisation, using practice-oriented courses in core functional areas. The explicit pedagogical tools are the case method, a Summer Internship Program (SIP), and soft skills development.
Case method IBS describes case teaching as a central component at all its campuses. Students are expected to analyse real business situations, propose solutions, and defend them in class — a format intended to approximate managerial decision-making.
Summer Internship Program (SIP) At the end of Semester II, students undergo a 14-week internship with a corporate organisation. IBS describes this as an attempt to bridge classroom learning with professional exposure; it forms an assessed part of the overall programme.
Soft skills The programme supplements coursework with language, presentation, interpersonal, and interview-readiness training as a structured module.
Blended online learning IBS lists blended online learning as one of the formal learning methodology elements alongside classroom delivery.
The programme is offered identically at Ahmedabad, Gurgaon, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Pune under the PGPM label. Functional-area specialisation options and an official list of elective subjects are not separately published on the Ahmedabad campus page; applicants who need that detail should confirm directly with the campus.
The programme requires a bachelor's degree from a recognised university. The application guidelines page at ibsindia.org/application-guidelines (last updated June 17, 2026) directs applicants to apply via IBSAT 2026 or by submitting scores from 2024 onwards for CAT, NMAT by GMAC, XAT, or GMAT. Final-year students who expect to complete their undergraduate degree before the programme commences are eligible to apply.
IBS does not publish campus-specific cut-offs for Ahmedabad. The selection process typically includes a written assessment and a personal interview after shortlisting on entrance test scores.

In addition, all students across all campuses pay Rs. 10,000 as a refundable caution deposit along with the first fee instalment. This deposit is returned at the end of the programme subject to institutional conditions.
Living expenses — hostel accommodation, meals, and transport — are charged separately and are not included in the Rs. 9,09,000 programme fee. IBS does not publish a standard hostel or mess rate for the Ahmedabad campus on its website, so applicants should request that figure directly from the admissions office.
Fee payment is made in instalments. The number and schedule of instalments are managed through the portal at admissions.ibsindia.org/OnlineFeePayment.asp. A convocation fee of Rs. 4,000 is noted only for IBS Hyderabad (payable with the 5th instalment); there is no published equivalent for Ahmedabad.
At Rs. 9,09,000 for two years, IBS Ahmedabad's PGPM sits at the same fee level as the Gurgaon, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Pune campuses. IBS Hyderabad's MBA costs Rs. 17,01,000 — a difference of nearly Rs. 8 lakhs for the same two-year duration — and carries the IBS network's NIRF and media rankings, which are published for Hyderabad rather than the satellite campuses. IBS Jaipur's MBA is priced at Rs. 8,01,000 and Dehradun at Rs. 7,02,000, both lower than Ahmedabad.
An applicant choosing between campuses on fee alone would note that the programme curriculum, case method pedagogy, and SIP structure are described identically across PGPM campuses. What differs is city location, local industry access for internships and placements, and alumni density in the region. Campus-specific placement outcomes for Ahmedabad are not separately published on the institutional website, which limits direct comparison of post-programme outcomes by campus.
