SRMJEEE 2026 Result - How to Check Rank, Download Scorecard & Understand Your All-India Rank

The Phase-1 result went live on 5 May 2026 at 3 pm. SRMIST activated the result link at srmist.edu.in; for the first hour the portal buckled under a sudden spike in traffic. If you wrote the April 24-29 slot, your all-India rank (AIR) is already available. Phase-2 and Phase-3 aspirants have their result windows coming up in June and July - and your rank in that specific phase will be the only one used for counselling in that round.

SRMJEEE 2026 Result Dates (All Phases)

SRM conducts three exam windows. Results are declared phase-wise - you do not get one composite list for the whole year. The table below pins down the confirmed date for Phase-1 and the narrow windows for the remaining phases, drawn from the official exam calendar and counselling announcements.

What the schedule means for you

• If you already took Phase 1, your counselling engine started immediately. Online choice-filling began on 7 May 2026 and closed on 10 May 2026. The first-round seat allotment ran from 14 May to 21 May, with full-fee payment due by 31 May.
• Phase-2 rank cards are expected roughly one week after the last exam date (15 June). SRMIST rarely sends a separate email blast; keep srmist.edu.in open in a pinned tab.
• Phase-2 applications close on 4 June 2026. Phase-3 applications close on 30 June 2026. You can still register if you missed Phase 1.

How to Check Your SRMJEEE 2026 Result & Download the Rank Card

No paper scorecard comes by post. The rank card lives online, accessible only with your application credentials. Follow these steps:

1. Go to srmist.edu.in.
2. Click the “SRM Exam Results” link on the homepage (it may also read “SRMJEEE 2026 Result - Phase 1”).
3. Enter your application number and password (or date of birth, if you used that during registration).
4. Hit Submit. Your rank card appears.
5. Download the PDF and print at least two copies. This printout is mandatory for counselling, document verification, and even an education-loan application.

If the portal hangs - wait 10-15 minutes and retry. Phase-1 day saw such a load that the server slowed temporarily. Patience and a stable connection usually get you through.

What Your SRMJEEE Scorecard Shows

The scorecard isn’t just a number. The PDF displays:

• Your name, application number, roll number
• Photograph and digital signature
• All India Rank (AIR) - the single figure that drives counselling
• Qualifying status (pass/fail)
• Merit rank, if applicable
• Percentile score (in some phases, though SRM primarily ranks by normalised marks)

Check every detail. A misspelled name or wrong application number can create trouble at document verification. Contact the admission authority immediately if you spot an error.

Understanding Your SRMJEEE Rank: Marks vs Rank Mapping (Not Official, Directional)

SRMIST does not release a public “cutoff” or a marks-to-rank formula before counselling. Instead, a merit list is prepared after each phase, and seats are filled rank-by-rank, choice-by-choice. However, several previous-year trends and Phase-1 feedback allow a reasonable estimate of how your raw score out of 130 translates to a rank band.

The exam has 130 questions (35 Physics, 35 Chemistry, 40 Mathematics/Biology, 20 English & Aptitude). There is no negative marking, so attempting all questions is safe - and it compresses the score distribution. A difference of 10 marks in the top band can shift your rank by thousands.

These bands are directional, not a contract. Year-on-year variation of 5-10 marks is common, and the Phase-1 advantage (more seats) can lower the rank threshold for the same score compared to Phase-2. If you appear in multiple phases, SRM considers your best rank across all attempts for counselling.

Normalisation: When Scores Are Adjusted Across Slots

SRMJEEE is conducted in multiple slots within a phase, and question paper difficulty can vary. To ensure fairness, the institute applies a percentile-based normalisation process. It works like this:

• Percentile = (Number of candidates in your slot with marks ≤ your marks ÷ Total candidates in that slot) × 100.
• Your raw score is not directly compared with someone in a different slot. Instead, your relative standing in your slot determines a percentile, and those percentiles are compared across slots.
• A score of 100 in a harder slot can translate to a better final rank than a 105 in an easier slot, because the percentile reflects outperforming a larger share of your peer group.
• SRM does not publish the precise normalisation formula each year, but the principle is consistent: your all-India rank is based on the normalised percentile, not raw marks.

If you sat for Phase 1, the rank card you downloaded already reflects any normalisation applied. There is no appeal against it.

SRMJEEE 2026 Phase-1 Toppers & Merit List

For Phase-1 2026, the official topper list hasn’t been published yet. Traditionally, SRM releases a merit list alongside the results a day or two later. The merit list contains two parts: the drawing list (first-come-first-served seat allotment) and the waiting list. Only candidates on the drawing list get immediate seats.

If you want to benchmark your own performance, track the official merit list PDF once it appears on srmist.edu.in. In previous years, Phase-1 toppers included names like Om Narayan (Delhi), Shaunak Pal (Gujarat), and others from multiple states. For 2026, the list will be posted soon - watch the portal.

What Happens After the Result: The Counselling Flow (Phase-1 Example)

Your rank opens the door to counselling. Here’s the precise Phase-1 timeline and the general process that Phases 2 and 3 will replicate.

Phase-1 Counselling Dates (Official e-Counselling Manual)

Steps:

1. Login to the admission portal (admissions.srmist.edu.in) and download your rank card.
2. Choice filling: Select campus, programme, and specialisation in priority order. The preferences you entered during application were only statistical - these are the real ones.
3. Program allocation: The system allots a single seat based on your rank, choices, and seat availability. You’ll see the result on your portal dashboard.
4. Accept the allotment: If you agree, click “I accept”. Refusing means you cannot participate in subsequent rounds of this phase.
5. Pay counselling fees: ₹ 1,10,000 for most campuses (₹ 10,000 non-refundable registration + ₹ 1,00,000 counselling fee, part of tuition). For Delhi-NCR and Sonepat, the amount is ₹ 1,15,000. Payment must be made via NEFT/RTGS/IMPS to a specific HDFC bank account with a unique account number that combines 1985 + campus prefix + your application number. Failure to pay by the deadline cancels the provisional seat automatically.
6. Download the Provisional Allotment Letter (PAL) after payment.
7. Pay the balance tuition fee by 31 May 2026 to confirm the seat. Non-payment leads to cancellation.
8. Online enrolment details will be shared later.

Important: If you were not allocated a seat in Round 1, or if you didn’t fill choices earlier, you can participate in Round 2 choice filling (tentatively 27 May). If you were allocated in Round 1 but refused the seat, you are not eligible for subsequent rounds in the same phase.

Campus-Wise Cutoffs: What Rank Secures Which Branch? (Expected)

SRM does not publish static cutoffs. The closing rank for a branch varies each year and across counselling rounds. Based on multiple analytical sources and historical trends, here is an indicative rank-to-branch map for the Kattankulathur (KTR) campus, plus a general comparison with other campuses.
