International Institute of Business Studies (IIBS) (IIBS Bangalore) in Karnataka has historical cutoff records for MAT, XAT, CMAT, Karnataka-PGCET, CAT on this page. There is no single cutoff for the whole college: read each course, category, quota and round separately. Coverage below reflects the records on this page.
The latest recorded year is 2025. 1 record in that group cover 1 named category. Across the available years, 2 distinct course labels are recorded.

Recorded years: 2021-2025. Year changes appear only for single closing values with matching course, category, quota, round, counselling context and unit.
IIBS’s current programme page says 2027–29 applicants need a valid score in an accepted entrance test, and that shortlisting uses the candidate’s overall profile and exam score. The page names CMAT, first-attempt NMAT, GMAT scores valid from January 2026 to 18 January 2027, XAT 2027 and CAT 2026. It does not give a numerical 2027–29 cutoff for those routes in the material reviewed here. Applicants should not treat a score from an older or general page as a confirmed programme-specific threshold for this intake.
The same page says final selection also considers Group Discussion and Personal Interview performance. A test threshold, where published, is therefore not the same as a final merit position or an admission offer. IIBS also says programme or specialisation allocation depends on merit, preference and available seats, and candidates may receive a waitlist number for other preferred choices. Meeting a stated score minimum does not establish that a candidate will be shortlisted, selected or assigned their first preference.
For the 2027–29 batch, the programme page lists CAT 2026, XAT 2027, CMAT, NMAT (first attempt only) and GMAT (with its stated score-validity window). IIBS’s separate general admissions page instead lists CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT and IIBSAT, and gives test-specific thresholds for some of those routes. It does not include the current programme page’s NMAT route in the same list. The pages do not explain how the two lists are reconciled.
Use the cycle-specific programme page as the route list to check first, but confirm any test or threshold that appears only on the general admissions page with IIBS before relying on it. In particular, do not assume that the general page’s MAT or IIBSAT references apply to the 2027–29 PGDM intake just because those names appear there. Ask the admissions office to confirm the exact exam, attempt, score-validity period and cutoff for your selected programme in writing.
IIBS’s general admissions page currently states a minimum of 50 percentile for CAT 2026 and XAT 2027. It lists a composite score of at least 550 for the MAT administrations in September 2026, December 2026, February 2027 and May 2027. It also states 50 percentile or above for GMAT, ATMA and CMAT, although the text does not explain the score scale used for those three exams. These are the general page’s published thresholds; the page does not clearly state that they are the final 2027–29 cutoffs for every programme, category or applicant.
IIBS does not publish exam-wise shortlist weights or explain how academic scores are combined with an entrance result. A threshold is therefore only one part of the decision: it cannot be converted into a predicted merit rank or offer chance from these pages. Ask for the current selection policy, including any sectional or category rules, before using a borderline score to choose whether to apply.
Do not compare “550” with “50 percentile” as though they were on one scale. MAT reports a composite-score threshold on this page, while the other stated values use percentiles. The page does not give a common conversion or a minimum for each individual section of an exam. It also does not publish a category-wise cutoff table or clarify whether the numbers represent application eligibility, shortlisting, or a separate stage. Obtain the current prospectus or a written answer before treating a number as decisive.
First match your test to the 2027–29 programme page. Check the validity condition carefully: IIBS says only the first NMAT attempt will be considered and gives GMAT’s score window through 18 January 2027. Then ask whether a score minimum is required to submit an application or is used later to shortlist applicants. The source page describes overall-profile screening and subsequent GD/PI consideration, so a minimum score should not be mistaken for a probability of admission.
If your score is near a threshold, clarify the exam year and accepted score type, whether sectional scores matter, whether the rule differs for a category, and whether the same rule applies to Prime and NextGen. The pages reviewed do not establish category-specific cutoffs, section-wise minimums, selection weights, programme-wise score bands or a cutoff trend that could support a prediction. A coaching-site estimate or a previous-cycle threshold cannot fill those gaps.
Before paying, save the current programme-page instructions and ask IIBS to confirm your exact test and cutoff through its admissions contact or query-management system. Keep the response with your application records. If a later prospectus or portal notice gives a different value, follow the newer programme-specific instruction and preserve the date and test scope when comparing it with any past figure.
