Which IIBS route is listed for 2027–29?
IIBS identifies PGDM Prime and PGDM NextGen for the 2027–29 batch as two-year, full-time programmes at the Bengaluru Airport Campus. The current programme page lists five entrance routes for this batch: CMAT, NMAT (first attempt only), GMAT with a score date between January 2026 and 18 January 2027, XAT 2027 and CAT 2026. Candidates should choose the programme and test route first, then confirm the live application portal accepts that score before paying or submitting. See IIBS's 2027–29 programme notice.
There is a material inconsistency across IIBS pages. Its general admissions page still lists CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT and IIBSAT and publishes threshold details for some tests. The more recent programme page names a different cycle-specific list, including NMAT and GMAT, while omitting MAT and IIBSAT. For a 2027–29 application, use the programme page and the current application portal as the working route, and ask IIBS to confirm in writing if you plan to apply with MAT or IIBSAT. Do not treat a test appearing on the general page as proof it is accepted for this batch.
Check eligibility before starting the form
IIBS's general PGDM eligibility page says applicants need a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognised university, with at least 50% aggregate marks or 45% for reserved categories. Final-year students may apply, and work experience is preferred rather than mandatory. The current 2027–29 programme page refers applicants to its eligibility criteria but does not repeat those mark thresholds. Treat the figures as the institution's published general criteria and confirm how they apply to your category, degree and final-year status in the current-cycle application instructions before relying on them.
The 2027–29 programme page says applicants need a valid accepted test score and that IIBS shortlists using the overall profile and exam score. Final selection also considers Group Discussion and Personal Interview performance. Specialisation or programme allocation depends on merit, preference and available seats; the page says a candidate may receive a waitlist number for other preferred choices. A test score alone is therefore not an offer, and a preference is not a guarantee of assignment to that specialisation.
IIBS's general admissions page gives specific historic/current-window thresholds for CAT 2026 and XAT 2027 (50 percentile or above), and MAT administrations from September 2026 through May 2027 (composite score at least 550). It also states 50 percentile or above for GMAT, ATMA and CMAT, but does not explain the score scale or clarify how those thresholds apply to the 2027–29 programme-page list. Because the two pages conflict, do not use these thresholds to decide whether a route absent from the cycle-specific list is eligible. Confirm the accepted score and the exact cutoff with admissions for the programme you select.
Application steps and records to keep
The IIBS application instructions describe an online sequence: register with a valid email and mobile number, verify the email, sign in to complete the form, pay the application fee, review the entries, and submit electronically. Keep the registered email accessible: IIBS says it will use that address for correspondence until enrolment and that it cannot be changed. Save the payment transaction details and the submission confirmation or application reference, then check the dashboard and registered inbox for the next step.
The general admissions page lists an application payment of ₹1,000. That page also contains older or mixed-cycle text, so verify the amount shown in the live form before paying for the 2027–29 batch. The how-to-apply page has generic undergraduate language and an old embedded form label; use its registration sequence as process guidance, not as proof that every displayed form or requirement is specific to PGDM.
The pages reviewed do not provide a complete current-cycle document checklist or one overall closing date for all five 2027–29 test routes. Prepare your degree and marks records and test-score details, but follow the live form for required uploads and any category or final-year documents. Do not assume the IIBSAT date is the deadline for the other routes.
Dates: separate the IIBSAT window from the full intake
The general admissions page displays IIBSAT 2026 registration from 25 October through 3 December 2026, a demo/login-details date of 5 December and a test date of 6 December. These are explicitly IIBSAT 2026 dates. The current cycle-specific programme page covers the 2027–29 batch, but the pages reviewed do not show an overall closing date for CAT, XAT, CMAT, NMAT or GMAT applications. Applicants using another test should check the live portal for the applicable deadline and selection schedule rather than borrowing the IIBSAT calendar.
For questions, IIBS's how-to-apply page advises registered applicants to use its query-management dashboard: verify the email, choose “Any Queries? Ask US”, select a category and submit the question. This creates a route for clarifying which exam and threshold apply to a specific programme before an applicant pays or relies on an older page. The official contact page lists [email protected] and phone numbers +91 9000453555 and +91 9620248214; retain a written response alongside the application record.
A practical decision path
- Compare PGDM Prime and NextGen on the current programme page and select a programme preference.
- Match your exam to the explicit 2027–29 list. NMAT is limited to the first attempt; GMAT has the stated score-validity window.
- Confirm degree marks, category treatment, final-year documents and the programme's current score threshold in the live application portal or through IIBS-QMS.
- Register with an email account you can keep through enrolment, complete the form and verify the amount before payment.
- Save the application confirmation, then monitor the dashboard and email for shortlisting, GD/PI instructions, document verification and any offer or waitlist update.
The safest next step is to use IIBS's current programme page and its linked online application. Where those screens conflict with the general admissions text, ask IIBS to confirm the route and cutoff for your chosen PGDM programme and keep that answer before submitting.
