For AILET 2027, the next confirmed deadline is 10 November 2026, the last date to submit the online application. The National Law University Delhi (NLU Delhi) FAQ also schedules the admit card from 30 November and the pen-and-paper examination for 13 December 2026, 2 pm to 4 pm. The result and counselling dates are not yet published. This is the 2027-28 admission cycle; “AILET 2027” is the cycle name even though the examination takes place in 2026. The live official AILET FAQ is the controlling place to check for revised notices.
AILET 2027 milestones at a glance
The dates above are taken from the current AILET FAQ. The 2027 programme page confirms the offline OMR-based test; the exact paper details are on the B.A. LL.B. examination scheme. NLU Delhi can revise an application deadline or publish a correction. Recheck the official notices before each milestone, especially close to the application deadline and before travelling to an examination centre.
How the calendar fits together
Applications opened on 7 August 2026 and the listed closing date is 10 November 2026. That gives applicants a little over three months from opening to submit, but the remaining window on any particular day depends on when the student starts. As of 27 October 2026, the listed deadline is still ahead. Treat 10 November as the point by which both form completion and the required payment must be done. NLU Delhi’s application guidance says an incomplete form can be rejected and the application fee is non-refundable. A draft or an unconfirmed payment should not be mistaken for a completed application.
The FAQ says a correction window will be available for three days from the last date for accepting applications. It does not specify the exact daily opening and closing time in the FAQ, nor does it list which fields can be edited. Accordingly, do not assume a correction period will let you replace every category, applicant type or test-centre choice. Review the application before final submission and use the portal’s correction instructions if a permitted field needs attention. If your issue is an application mistake that affects eligibility or your applicant category, contact the official helpdesk promptly rather than relying on an unstated correction rule.
The admit-card release date is 20 calendar days after the listed application deadline. The test follows 13 calendar days after the scheduled admit-card release. These are simple intervals between dates announced by the university, not extra guarantees about how much preparation time each candidate will have: the university may revise dates, an applicant may download the card later, and the notice gives only the date from which it is available. Download it as soon as it is released and make a practical travel plan after confirming the actual centre and reporting time on the card.
Application deadline: complete the steps, not just the form
Apply at the NLU Delhi AILET registration portal. Before opening the form, decide whether you are applying as an Indian National or in the Foreign National/OCI/PIO route. The portal treats these as separate applicant types. For the Indian route, check the programme eligibility and category you intend to claim; the current FAQ says category certificates are generally verified at provisional admission, while the BPL certificate is uploaded by applicants claiming the specified fee exemption.
The application guidelines require accurate details, a recent photograph and signature, and supporting uploads where applicable. The form asks for up to three test-city preferences, but the university says those preferences are not guaranteed. Keep your registered email and mobile number accessible: the FAQ says the registered email is the account user ID and that login recovery uses an OTP sent to that email. A change to the registered email cannot be made, so use an account you will retain through admissions.
After paying, check the account for the acknowledgement receipt and submitted application. If you see a payment-pending message despite a successful transaction, the FAQ advises waiting at least 24 hours and checking again; if it persists, contact AILET support with your application and transaction details. It also says a duplicate transaction is automatically refunded in 7-15 working days. Keep the receipt and confirmation until the admission process ends. No hard-copy application is required under the current FAQ.
Admit card and examination day
The FAQ schedules the admit card for 30 November 2026 in the applicant login. The release date is an availability date, not an instruction to wait until the final moment. Download the document, check your name and other personal details, and confirm the centre, date and reporting instructions. If an error appears, use any current correction or helpdesk route specified by NLU Delhi. The current FAQ does not state a separate admit-card correction deadline or guarantee that every discrepancy can be fixed after release.
AILET 2027 is scheduled as an offline, pen-and-paper test using an OMR sheet. The exam slot is 2 pm to 4 pm on Sunday, 13 December 2026. Use the centre and arrival time printed on your own admit card; the city preferences selected during application do not establish your final centre. The FAQ lists an allocation caveat: a city may not receive a centre if fewer than 200 candidates select it, and administrative or technical reasons may lead to another centre. Check the latest instructions before booking non-refundable travel.
Results and counselling: no dates to plan around yet
As of 27 October 2026, the AILET 2027 FAQ does not announce a result date. NLU Delhi’s B.A. LL.B. seat-matrix page says it will notify the counselling process when the result is announced. That statement establishes the sequence, but not a calendar date, an invitation threshold, a payment deadline, or a round schedule. Candidates should avoid filling those gaps with a previous year’s timeline or coaching-site estimates.
Once the result is released, check the official result notice and your applicant login. If the university invites you to counselling, follow the current invitation, fee and document instructions exactly. An examination result is not itself an offer of admission. Keep category documents and qualifying-examination records ready, and watch the portal and registered email after the test so that a short response window does not pass unnoticed. The university has not published the 2027 result and counselling timetable yet.
What could change, and where to verify
AILET schedules have cycle-specific dates, and the FAQ states the current 2027 dates directly. If NLU Delhi issues an extension, a revised exam date, a correction notice or an admit-card update, use the later official notice and its publication date. Do not preserve an older date just because it appears on an archived cycle page. In particular, the dates for AILET 2026 refer to the 2026-27 intake and must not be applied to 2027-28.
The most useful official checks are the AILET FAQ, the registration portal, and the B.A. LL.B. admission pages. The FAQ gives contact details for application-payment problems and account access. Use the official portal rather than an agent: NLU Delhi says it has not authorised agencies for admission and warns applicants against making payments to unauthorised persons.
