What is the CUET-PG exam pattern?

Each paper has 75 multiple-choice questions, 90 minutes duration, +4 marks for correct, -1 for incorrect, 0 for unattempted. Total marks 300. Most papers are domain-specific with no separate general aptitude section.

Is there an age limit for CUET-PG?

No. NTA does not set any age limit. However, some universities may have their own age criteria for specific programmes.

Can final-year students apply?

Yes. If you are in the final year of your bachelor’s degree in 2026, you are eligible. Admission is provisional until you submit your degree certificate and marksheets.

How many test papers can I choose?

You can apply for up to four different test papers (QP codes) in a single application form, with additional fees per paper.

Is there negative marking?

Yes. 1 mark is deducted for every incorrect answer. No marks are deducted for unattempted questions.

When was the CUET-PG 2026 result declared?

The result was declared on 24 April 2026. Typically, results are announced 3–4 weeks after the last exam date.

Does NTA conduct counselling?

No. NTA only conducts the exam and declares results. Each participating university conducts its own counselling and seat allocation process.

Which universities accept CUET-PG scores?

In the 2026 cycle, 198 universities participated — including 45 central, 40 state, 24 government institutions, and 89 private/deemed universities.

Is the General Test compulsory for CUET-PG?

No. From 2025 onward, the General Test has been removed for most subjects. A few papers like General Management (COQP12) and General (COQP11) include ability-based questions within the 75-MCQ format.

Can I change my test paper selection after submitting the form?

Yes, during the correction window, you can add or remove test papers. No changes are allowed once the correction window closes.

What should I carry on exam day?

Printed admit card with self-declaration, one passport-size photograph, transparent ballpoint pen, original photo ID, and PwBD certificate/UDID if applicable. Electronic devices are prohibited.

How is the percentile calculated in multi-shift papers?

NTA uses a percentile equivalence normalisation procedure. Raw marks are converted into percentile scores for each shift, then merged to create a common NTA score.
