When and where to look for the NIFTEE 2027 admit card
For NIFTEE 2027, the NTA bulletin lists 4 January 2027 as the planned admit-card date and 10 January 2027 for the entrance test. The bulletin labels its schedule tentative. Treat 4 January as a date to watch, not proof that a hall ticket has already been issued; use the live NTA NIFTEE portal and subsequent notices for the actual release. The NIFTEE portal is the examination authority’s candidate-facing site, while NIFT also links admission notices from its Admissions page.
A city-intimation notice and an admit card serve different purposes. The city notice helps a candidate plan travel; the admit card is the document to follow for the assigned test centre, reporting time, paper and candidate instructions. Do not rely on a coaching-site date, an old cycle’s PDF or an email alert in place of the official portal. The NTA bulletin says candidates should download their admit card online and that it will not be sent by post. If a release is delayed or a notice changes the schedule, follow the newest dated NTA/NIFT instruction.
Download carefully and resolve errors early
When the 2027 link is active, use the application number and the login details requested by the official page. Download the file, save a local copy and print it if the notice instructs you to bring a printed copy. Read every page rather than stopping at the photograph and name. Confirm that your name, application number, photograph, signature, test date, reporting time, centre address, paper/session and any accommodation detail are legible and match your application. The exact fields and login method are determined by the issued document; this checklist is for careful verification, not a claim that every candidate sees identical fields.
If a detail is wrong, do not alter the PDF yourself. Contact the NTA helpdesk or the channel named in the current notice and retain the application and complaint reference. Use contact details shown on the live official page because phone numbers and service hours can change. If you cannot download the file, try the official portal again after a short interval, check the notice for server or login guidance, and raise the issue before travelling. A screenshot of an error page is useful when reporting a technical problem, but it does not replace the admit card at the centre.
Match the admit card to your chosen programme
NIFTEE is not one identical paper for every applicant. Regular BDes candidates have GAT Section A and CAT; BFTech uses GAT Sections A and B; MDes combines GAT A and CAT; MFM uses both GAT sections; MFTech has a GAT with some engineering questions. The 2027 bulletin also lists distinct applicant routes and later stages. Check that the paper printed on your card matches the programme choices you submitted and the current bulletin. Dual-programme applicants may have a combined paper sequence while retaining separate merit ranks; do not assume separate applications mean separate test days unless NTA says so.
Plan travel from the centre address and reporting time actually printed on the issued card, not a map pin for a similarly named institution. Confirm the city, gate or building, route and realistic journey time one day beforehand. If your centre is in a different city from the intimation notice, the final admit card controls. Arrange enough time for security and registration; late-entry rules are governed by the exam-day instructions and should not be guessed from another exam’s practice.
Exam-day documents and permitted items
Read the “important instructions” on the 2027 admit card and any separate NTA advisory. Bring only the identity proof, photographs, printed card or other materials explicitly required by that notice. Do not assume that a digital card, a photocopy of an identity document, a sketching tool or a personal device will be accepted. CAT is pen-and-paper and GAT is computer-based, but the allowed stationery and centre-specific instructions must come from the current notice. For PwD/PwBD candidates, verify the approved accommodation and any scribe process against the candidate’s own application status and official instructions.
Keep your application number and login access available until results and counselling are complete. The admit card is an entry document, not an admission offer, scorecard or campus allotment. After the test, retain it with the application and response/score records so you can resolve a discrepancy. The NTA bulletin, NIFT Admissions page and live portal are the final places to confirm a release, amendment or exam-day rule for the 2027 cycle; no future-year release schedule is assumed here.
