NIFTEE 2027 dates for regular applicants
NTA’s NIFTEE 2027 bulletin lists the regular registration window, correction period and test milestones. It is a planning calendar, not a guarantee: the bulletin labels its dates tentative and says NIFT will publish final dates by notice. As of 28 October 2026, the listed application window is open. The normal fee-paid deadline is 16 November 2026; the late-fee deadline is 21 November, with a ₹5,000 charge added to the applicable examination fee. The form correction window is listed for 22-25 November. Candidates should submit before the normal deadline where possible, since a late fee does not remove the need to satisfy the programme or document rules.
Some rows are actionable entries in the published schedule; later milestones remain projected, and the schedule as a whole is marked tentative. The bulletin says the centre, date and shift are as mentioned on the admit card. Treat that document as controlling for travel and reporting. The answer-key and recorded-response dates are not yet supplied in the bulletin; do not treat the month estimates for results as a substitute for a specific official notice.
Use the right calendar for your route
The regular UG/PG and NLEA schedule is not the only calendar on the NIFT site. Artisan applicants, international-category applicants and PhD candidates have separate processes. For 2027, the bulletin lists the Artisan BDes application deadline at 31 January 2027 and its skill test/interview in April. The NRI/Foreign/OCI/SAARC route has a 31 March application and SAT/GMAT/GRE score submission deadline. PhD applicants have a separate application, written exam, research proposal, presentation and interview schedule, with final results projected for July. Do not read any of these as extensions for a regular BDes, BFTech or master’s applicant.
NLEA also has distinct Stage 2 labels. The bulletin lists a GAT on 10 January, with a BDes Studio Test or BFTech Technical Ability Test in April and subsequent interview/document checks. It says the exact practical-test date will be informed later. The route page and call letter determine which later test applies; a regular BDes Situation Test is not a substitute for an NLEA Studio Test, and BFTech’s Technical Ability Test is not part of every regular applicant’s schedule.
The current official timetable should be checked at both NIFTEE on NTA and NIFT Admissions. NTA lists test and scorecard notices; NIFT lists later admission and seat-allocation notices. NIFT’s FAQ says candidates are not sent separate result or seat-allocation notifications by post or email, so check the portal even if no individual message arrives.
A simple date-check routine
When applying, save a copy of the completed application, payment receipt and final correction-window page. If you change category or add a permitted second programme during correction, check whether the fee changes; NIFT’s FAQ says additional fee can apply when category or the number of programmes changes. Mark the regular deadline separately from the late-fee deadline so the extra ₹5,000 is not mistaken for the standard fee. If a portal delay occurs, use the published helpdesk route and verify that a confirmation page was generated before assuming registration is complete.
In December, use the city-intimation notice only for city planning. The NIFT FAQ requires two or three city preferences but notes that a different city can be allotted for administrative or logistical reasons. The January admit card has the actual centre and shift. Recheck its name, roll number, date of birth, paper code, gender, category and centre immediately after download. If the bulletin or NIFT page posts a revision, follow the later dated notice rather than a saved calendar image.
The current dates page should not imply that 2027 outcomes have already occurred. Stage 1 result, later assessment, final result and seat-allocation windows are estimates in the bulletin; the results and exact answer-key dates remain future information as of 28 October 2026. Once the result is published, use its programme rank and call letter to identify any next stage. Seat allocation is a further decision against the relevant programme/campus/category matrix, not another name for the exam result. Keep those milestones separate in your planning, especially before paying for travel or making irreversible arrangements.
