NIFTEE 2027 results are not available yet
As of 28 October 2026, NIFTEE 2027 is an upcoming examination. The NTA bulletin gives an estimated Stage 1 result window of February or March 2027 and an estimated final-result window in the first week of May; it marks the schedule tentative. These are planning windows, not actual declaration dates. No NIFTEE 2027 scorecard, merit rank, closing rank or counselling allotment should be represented as published until NTA or NIFT posts the relevant notice. Check the NTA NIFTEE portal and the NIFT Admissions page for dated updates.
The 2027 process separates the written examination from admission decisions. NTA conducts the test and score-related processes; NIFT conducts the admission process, determines the applicable merit outcomes and runs seat allocation. The stages depend on the programme. A BDes candidate may proceed from GAT and CAT to a Situation Test if shortlisted. MDes includes GAT, CAT and an interview for shortlisted candidates. MFM and MFTech have GAT-based shortlisting followed by interview, while regular BFTech selection is based on its GAT combination. Read the 2027 bulletin’s exact programme row: a Stage 1 result is not necessarily the final rank used for every programme.
How to find and read the result
When an official result notice is issued, follow its link to the candidate login or scorecard page and use the credentials requested there. Download the scorecard, save the PDF and check the name, application number, programme or test combination, scores and any rank or shortlist status shown. The 2027 bulletin and later result notice control the format; a third-party result article may summarize the announcement but cannot establish a candidate’s official status. If the login fails or details appear inconsistent, use the helpdesk/contact route in the live NTA notice and keep the application number and error record.
Read the result label literally. A score or Stage 1 shortlist tells you about that examination stage; a final merit rank and a seat allotment are different records. An invitation to a Situation Test or interview is not a seat offer. An All India Rank, Common Merit Rank, category rank or programme rank can have different uses, so do not compare numbers until you know which one is printed and what candidate pool it covers. For candidates applying to two eligible programme combinations, the bulletin provides separate programme merit outcomes; one rank should not be assumed to cover both.
Programme merit is built from different components
For regular BDes, the published final-merit weights are 30% GAT, 50% CAT and 20% Situation Test. BFTech weights GAT Section A at 30% and Section B at 70%. MDes weights GAT A at 30%, CAT at 40% and interview at 30%. MFM and MFTech each give 70% to the applicable GAT and 30% to interview. These weights explain why a strong written score may not alone determine the final result for a programme with another stage. Use the 2027 bulletin, not a previous cycle’s weighting table, if a later notice revises the scheme.
The NTA bulletin’s objective-question marking rule is +1 for a correct response, −0.25 for an incorrect response and zero for an unanswered response; it also describes revised keys and dropped-question treatment. This pertains to objective test components, not a CAT drawing prompt. A scorecard should be read with the correct paper and stage in mind. If a revised key changes marks, the final result notice governs over an earlier provisional key or unofficial estimate.
From result to counselling
After the applicable final result, NIFT publishes counselling instructions, schedule and seat information. Eligible candidates must follow NIFT’s e-counselling process, register within the stated window, complete the required document steps and fill choices as directed. NTA’s role in conducting the test does not make NTA the seat-allocation authority. A result alone does not reserve a campus or programme; admission depends on the official merit/eligibility rules, candidate choices and available seats.
Keep checking for result amendments, revised scorecards or counselling notices. Historical 2026 result and counselling pages can illustrate the distinction between Stage 1, final merit and later seat allocation, but they do not predict 2027 dates or ranks. Until the 2027 result is actually issued, use the official tentative calendar only for planning and avoid relying on guessed cutoffs or social-media screenshots. The next practical action is to monitor the official NTA portal and NIFT Admissions page, then read the exact result notice before acting.
