Sc. or BTech degree is essential for two-year master’s program. After the master’s degree (M. Sc. / M. Tech.), the path of Ph.D. becomes easier. Most of the courses are available through entrance examination. These entrance examinations are conducted by the concerned Institute, University or Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), New Delhi. Some select institutes make the entry based on ICAR exam ranks. Some private institutes take admission on marks basis.
