How to become a Lawyer
The bachelor’s degree in law is LLB and its full Farm is Legum Baccalaureus means Bachelor of Law / Laws. In India, it is known as Bachelor of Legislative Law. If you want to do law after 12th, you can do a five-year LLB course. While doing a three year LLB course you have to complete the graduation. If you want to do this course then you will have to pass the entrance test to get admission in good law colleges. LLB is the basic minimum degree in Legal Sector and if you want to do a post-graduate degree after LLB, you can take admission in two-year LLM Course. You can also do Ph.D. in law after this after which you may get opportunities in the field of teaching. After you complete the LLB, you can register in the Bar Council, and you can lodge lawsuits in any court of the country. You can choose any area from Criminal, Revenue or Civil to practice law.
The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) examination is organized in 18 institutes of the country of India, for studying law. After completion of the exam, a list of students is prepared by removing the cut off and after which the applicants who are selected get admission in LLB course. Many universities and states also conduct exams in their own way at their own level.

How to start a career in Law
You can initially learn the practical work of courts as a junior of a senior lawyer. And when you have a few years of experience then you can practice independently. Your expertise in this field can be further enhanced by gaining further degree like LLM. You have a traditional option of practicing as a lawyer in courts, and there is also the option of becoming a State Counselor, a Government Proactive. If you want to become a judge, you will have to pass a judge or munsif examination held at the state level.
