Their responsibilities include activities related to recruitment, deployment, training, public-power planning, staff welfare, industrial relations and labor relations. Human resources development personnel are associated with other specialty areas, which include compensation and benefits, health, safety and other welfare aspects, employee welfare schemes, change management, handling etc. for employees.

B. Finance production or operational work:

The management executives of the finance sector are responsible for the financing of their organization. They undertake budget work, execute financial programs, and do benefit-assessment jobs.

C. Production:

It is such an extensive area that directs, coordinates and controls the operating work aspect of an organization and makes efficient use of humans, machines, and materials. This is a process by which a company’s physical production is planned. Depending on the working area of an organization, planning, purchasing and control of materials used in the production, and maintenance and depreciation of equipment may also be included.

D. Marketing:

 The marketing and sales department directs the producer to deliver the goods and services to the user. Therefore, marketing management inherent in planning a strategy to provide goods and services efficiently and at a minimal cost to the customer. It also involves research and analysis in the work, in which the present and future requirements of the customers are to create a means to gather information and review their results, to plan new products and services, to check and to make sales forecasts. Sales are linked to marketing, therefore, marketing managers have the responsibility of implementing marketing policies. It means finding and contacting customers for the special goods and services created by an organization.

E. Information services:

The management information service is getting a significant place, as it involves important information collection, processing, and dissemination work to increase the capacity of an organization.

Bachelor of Business Administration - BBA

How to make a career in Management

To become an expert in one of the many works/specialty areas start a job as a trainee in any organization and make a career in management, however, some of the past qualifications and experience are necessary for this. In addition, most organizations give preference to qualified management graduates. Course Details

Management courses are mainly run as a diploma , undergraduate and postgraduate degree programs by private and state management institutions. Generally, 10 + 2 passed candidates can opt for undergraduate management degrees (such as B.B.A., B.B.S., B.M.S.). Graduation in any subject for postgraduate courses (MBA, PGDBA) and passing the admission process (CAT, MAT, XAT) conducted by many organizations is mandatory. The fixed percentage of the digits in different institutions may vary slightly, but the total minimum percentage for admission is not less than 50% in general. Students of the final year of the graduate course can also apply for admission in the management course. Courses at the postgraduate level are mainly given specialization in a particular field. An Executive MBA for Business Executives Courses is also available. Some limited organizations also run part-time management courses.

CAT or MAT is an essential method that analyzes the candidate’s personality and knowledge. Question papers have no fixed set. Question papers are of an objective nature.
After passing the written examination, the candidates can apply for one or more of their choice in the prescribed format. Normally their selection is done on a Group Discussion (GD) and then on the basis of their performance in a Personal Interview (PI).

Selection Procedure for Management Courses

Most management schools follow a standard selection method. The Indian Institute of Management (IIMS) and some management institutes conduct a written examination called the Common Entrance Test (CAT) in December every year. Other institutions organize separate entrance examinations like Management Ablative Test (MAT). Large newspapers publish their advertisement. In which application method, place of examination, date and time is mentioned. The examination includes oral expression and problem-solving capabilities and interpretation knowledge testing.

Period of Study

The duration of undergraduate courses is 3 years. However, the postgraduate courses are of 1-2 years. Part-time MBA is of 3 years duration.
