CMAT admit card: download, check and preserve
NTA released the CMAT-2026 admit card on 21 January 2026 for an examination held on 25 January 2026. Candidates used their application number and date of birth to download it from the official CMAT site. NTA described the admit card as provisional and said its issue did not mean eligibility had been finally accepted. These dates and rules refer to CMAT-2026; they do not indicate when a later cycle’s admit card will be released. As of 27 October 2026, the official portal had not displayed CMAT-2027 dates.
When a new admit-card notice appears, use the NTA portal reached through cmat.nta.nic.in. Avoid third-party pages asking for credentials. Enter required application details exactly and download the PDF to a device you control. Save a second copy in secure storage or another device, then print it if current instructions require a hard copy. Keep the file intact: do not alter, crop or overwrite printed details.
Check these details immediately
Compare your name, photograph, signature, application number, exam date, shift, reporting time, centre address, city and category or accommodation information with your application and official documents. Read all instructions on the card, including items to carry, barred items, entry timing, identity documents and any special procedure. Do not rely on an older year’s list of permitted documents when the current card gives its own instructions.
If the PDF fails to download, login details do not work or a material discrepancy appears, contact the NTA helpdesk using the number or email in the current notice. Raise the issue promptly and retain evidence such as a screenshot or acknowledgement. NTA’s 2026 notice advised candidates to contact the helpdesk if they had difficulty downloading the card or found a discrepancy. A helpdesk message does not itself amend the card, so follow NTA’s resolution and re-download the corrected record if directed.
City slip and admit card are different
An exam-city intimation slip gives advance information about the city where the test centre will be located. It is not the admit card and should not be treated as the final centre address or authorization to enter the exam. The admit card carries centre and reporting information. If a future NTA notice uses both documents, download each and follow the more specific instructions on the admit card.
For travel planning, wait for the admit card before booking a non-refundable trip whenever feasible. City intimation may help with early planning, but the final venue can be elsewhere within that city. Check transport time, reporting time and centre restrictions from the official card. Plan to arrive with a buffer rather than relying on a last-minute arrival.
Exam-day preparation
CMAT-2026 was a computer-based test. The admit card and bulletin govern what a candidate may bring and how entry works. Prepare the identity proof, card and any approved accommodation documents specified in current instructions. Do not carry barred electronic or personal items based on a generic checklist; compare your belongings with the official rules. Organize documents the previous evening and keep the card accessible during travel.
The card’s release is not a final eligibility decision. NTA’s 2026 notice states that eligibility may be scrutinized later. If you are a final-year student or claim a category, keep supporting records ready for institution-level verification. The exam authority and the admission institution may request different documents at different stages.
Keep the card after the test
Retain the admit card after the examination. It can help match your identity and application record during result or admission follow-up. Save the response sheet or answer-key material when NTA makes it available, along with challenge receipts if you submit one. Do not share login credentials publicly or post a card containing personal identifiers in a public forum.
The official CMAT portal and NTA notices archive are the source for the next cycle’s release. The 21 January 2026 release date is a historical milestone only. No 2027 admit-card date should be published until NTA announces it.
