MAH MBA/MMS CET registration: prepare for the next notice
The 2027–28 MAH MBA/MMS CET application window, fee and account requirements have not been announced in the official materials checked on 27 October 2026. The latest opened examination brochure concerns 2026. Use it to prepare documents and understand the application sequence, but do not rely on its old deadlines, fee amounts or technical requirements when submitting the next cycle’s form.
The State CET Cell publishes MBA/MMS examination material on its MBA/MMS page. The 2026–27 CAP index separately links the course’s admission portal. Examination registration is not the same as registering later for CAP, so track both portals after the next cycle is announced.
What happened in 2026
The 2026 brochure initially listed online registration and confirmation from 10 January through 12 February 2026, with payment through 13 February. On 20 February, the CET Cell issued a final extension that moved the registration close to 25 February. This changed deadline is why candidates should check for later notices and not treat a first schedule as final. The final-extension notice also reminded candidates who had not generated an APAAR ID to create one through DigiLocker.
For 2026, the brochure listed an application processing fee of ₹1,500 for open-category candidates from Maharashtra, candidates from outside Maharashtra and J&K migrants. It listed ₹1,300 for specified Maharashtra-state backward-class, EWS and PwD categories, and orphan and transgender candidates. Choosing both attempts cost ₹3,000 and ₹2,600 respectively. The brochure said online payment was required, applicable service charges were additional, and the fee was non-refundable and non-transferable. These are historical 2026 figures, not a fee quote for 2027–28.
Information to prepare before opening the form
The 2026 brochure asked candidates to provide accurate and verifiable information and described Aadhaar and APAAR verification through DigiLocker. It advised keeping relevant documents ready. Before the next form opens, check that your name, date of birth and identity details match across the documents you will use. Keep your own email address and mobile number accessible, and store the application number and confirmation receipt after submission. The 2027–28 portal may change its authentication or account instructions, so use the new form’s directions rather than assuming every 2026 step will repeat.
For the 2026 upload, the brochure specified a colour photograph measuring 50 mm by 50 mm and sized from 100 KB to 5 MB. It called for a clear, front-facing full-face image, with the full head in frame, eyes open and a plain light-coloured or white background. It included further guidance on lighting and framing and allowed head coverings for religious reasons if the facial features remained visible. Treat these as 2026 specifications only; resize or replace the image if the next form provides different instructions.
If you plan to claim a category-based fee or admission benefit, check which documents are requested at each stage. The 2026 brochure listed caste, caste-validity and non-creamy-layer certificates where applicable, and EWS or PwD certificates where applicable, for the CAP application. It gave a 31 March 2027 validity date for the relevant NCL certificate in that cycle. Do not carry that date into a later cycle. The application portal, examination brochure and CAP information brochure may ask for different details at different points.
Complete the form carefully
When the 2027–28 registration notice appears, first confirm that it is specifically for MAH MBA/MMS CET and the correct academic year. Read the brochure and the portal’s instructions together. Check the application opening date, last date for final submission, payment deadline, correction window if any, attempt selection, fee category and required identity verification. If the portal offers one or more attempts, compare the fee and the current score rule before selecting; do not assume the 2026 best-of-two policy will continue.
Fill each field from a supporting document. Use the awarding university’s certified percentage conversion for CGPA, as directed by the 2026 brochure, and follow the next brochure if that method changes. Review the photograph and category documents against the live upload requirements. Before final submission, verify that the preview shows the correct programme, category and contact details. Save the submitted form, application number, payment confirmation and any correction acknowledgement in a folder you can access later.
The 2026 brochure called its dates provisional and said revised schedules would be notified on the State CET Cell website. The 2026 final extension is an example of such a change, not evidence that a 2027 extension will occur. Submit well before a published deadline when possible, but use only the actual current notice to plan. A saved form is not necessarily a submitted application; confirm the portal’s final status after payment.
After CET registration
Use the examination portal for the hall ticket, examination notices and scorecard. The 2026 brochure said the admit card would be issued through the candidate login and that its date would be notified later. Keep your login credentials private and check the portal for notices that may revise the schedule. The hall ticket controls the candidate’s centre, session, reporting time and entry instructions for that examination cycle.
After the scorecard, separately monitor the MBA/MMS CAP portal. The CET Cell’s current index lists MBA/MMS as a course-specific postgraduate CAP entry. CAP may have a separate application, document verification and choice or allotment schedule. The 2026 admission notice says MBA/MMS admission applications for 2026–27 commenced on 2 July 2026; it does not predict the next year’s date. Do not assume that completing the CET form automatically registers you for CAP.
Common registration mistakes to avoid
- Treating an old extension date as the new cycle’s deadline.
- Assuming the 2026 fee or attempt options will carry forward.
- Using an uncertified CGPA conversion or entering final marks before they are declared.
- Uploading an image that meets an old size rule but not the live portal’s current specification.
- Assuming a fee concession proves CAP category eligibility.
- Stopping after the exam form and missing the separate CAP registration.
- Relying on an unofficial calendar when a newer CET Cell notice exists.
As of 27 October 2026, the responsible official pages checked provide 2026 and 2026–27 material, not an application window for 2027–28. Keep your documents organised now, then replace this historical reference with the current brochure and notice when they appear.
