Colleges accepting MAH MBA/MMS CET: verify the current list
The 2026 MAH MBA/MMS CET brochure says the exam score is used for admissions to management institutes in Maharashtra that are approved and recognised by the Government of Maharashtra and affiliated to a non-agricultural university in the state. It identifies four broad institution types: government management education institutes, university departments, university-managed institutes and covered unaided institutes. This scope does not mean every MBA programme in Maharashtra uses the CET or participates in every CAP cycle.
The official brochure is a framework for the 2026–27 admission year, not a current 2027–28 participating-college list. The official CAP index for 2026–27 links MBA/MMS as a separate postgraduate Technical Education course portal. Use the portal for the active year’s institutes, programmes and admission notices. At the time checked, the linked 2026 portal could not be opened from the research interface, so this guide does not name an unverified college list.
Four institution types in the 2026 brochure
The brochure includes government management education institutes in Maharashtra and university departments of management education. These categories refer to institutions or departments that fall within the scope of the state’s approved route; they do not mean every public university offers a CET-participating management course.
It also names university-managed management education institutes. The wording distinguishes a unit managed by a university from an affiliated or private college, so candidates should verify the exact institute entry and programme in the CAP list rather than assuming that all courses under a university share the same admission route.
Finally, it includes unaided management education institutes covered under the relevant Act, provided they satisfy the brochure’s approval, recognition and affiliation conditions. “Unaided” alone is not enough to confirm participation. Check the current CAP listing and the exact course code.
How to confirm one programme
When the 2027–28 MBA/MMS portal is published, search the official institute list and confirm the full institute name, code, campus or location, programme name and relevant seat details. Similar names can refer to different units. Confirm that the programme is a first-year, full-time MBA/MMS route in scope for the current CET and CAP. The 2026 brochure is specifically for admission to first-year, two-year full-time postgraduate management degrees.
Check the current admission brochure for the candidate categories, candidature types, documents and seat rules that apply to you. Exam appearance eligibility is not the same as eligibility for a particular institute seat. If a college’s own site says it accepts MAH CET, cross-check that claim against the active official CAP list; a college page can describe a different year, programme or application route.
Compare colleges using comparable evidence
After confirming that a programme is listed, compare what matters to your decision: official tuition and other fee components, location and commute, curriculum, specialisations, class schedule, available facilities and transparent outcome disclosures. Use the current institute’s official documents for fees and programme details. If comparing placements, retain the year, cohort, denominator and measure (median, average, highest CTC or base pay) rather than combining figures that are not comparable.
Historical cutoff records can help frame a preference list only when they match the same programme, category, seat type and CAP round. Do not treat an old closing percentile as an admission guarantee. The CET Cell links a Cutoff Explorer, but its opened page required a password and showed no data during this research. Avoid inventing a cutoff or relying on a predictor as if it were an official allotment record.
A college accepting MAH MBA/MMS CET may still have several courses, seats or quotas with different rules. Confirm the relevant row before submitting preferences. Read the official option-form instructions to understand how choices are ordered, locked or changed for the current cycle. If the institute is listed but a programme title is unclear, contact the course-specific CAP helpdesk before finalising the preference form.
Keep the score and college list in perspective
The 2026 brochure says the exam score is used within the scope it describes, and the CET Cell runs a separate CAP route. A scorecard by itself is not an offer from an institute. Candidates must meet the current admission requirements, submit their CAP application and documents, and follow the live merit and allotment process. The exact sequence and dates must come from the current MBA/MMS portal.
Do not choose solely by a list titled “top colleges accepting MAH CET.” Such lists may mix years, campuses, degree types and unofficial claims. Build your own shortlist from the official institute list, then evaluate each exact programme against your location, cost and learning priorities. Where the current official information is missing or inaccessible, record the uncertainty and verify it with the CET Cell rather than filling the gap with a guessed college or statistic.
Current-year limitation
As of 27 October 2026, the opened official CAP index is for 2026–27, and the 2026 examination brochure covers that earlier admission cycle. Neither source establishes the 2027–28 participating-institute list. Begin at the State CET Cell CAP index and select the active MBA/MMS portal when it appears. Verify the institution and programme in that year’s official materials before treating it as an accepting college.
