MHT-CET results for the next cycle are not announced
As of 27 October 2026, the latest MHT-CET result material located on the official State CET Cell portal is for the 2026 examination. There is no confirmed result date for MHT-CET 2027 in the official notices checked. The Cell publishes result notices and scorecard access through its own portal; use the current notice rather than a prediction from a third-party calendar. Exam results and the later CAP admission process are separate milestones.
When the result notice is issued, sign in through the candidate login identified by the Cell and retrieve the scorecard. Check the examination group and attempt, candidate details, percentile and any other displayed score fields. Save the scorecard locally and keep the application number and login information until CAP and institute reporting are complete. If a result does not appear, confirm the official result notice and access instructions before concluding that the candidate is absent from the list.
Percentile is not percentage of marks
MHT-CET reports percentile scores. The Cell’s 2026 result methodology defines the percentile using the number of candidates in a session who obtained a raw score equal to or below the candidate’s score, divided by the total candidates in that session and multiplied by 100. A percentile therefore describes relative standing; it is not the percentage of questions answered correctly. A 95 percentile should not be read as 95% marks.
The exam runs in multiple sessions. The 2026 methodology explains that candidates are distributed across sessions and that percentile scores are calculated using session performance as part of the normalization method. Raw marks alone do not provide a universal percentile conversion. The same mark may correspond to different percentiles when candidate distributions differ. Use the score reported on the official scorecard instead of a fixed online marks-to-percentile chart.
The 2026 cycle included first and second attempts for groups, and the Cell published notices for those results. That does not guarantee that the 2027 cycle will retain the same attempt structure or combine scores in the same way. Read the applicable brochure for the year you sit, and check whether the candidate must select an attempt, whether a highest or other score is considered, and how the final result is compiled. Do not assume that two scorecards can be averaged or that the higher one is automatically used unless the current notice says so.
What to do if a result looks wrong
Compare the scorecard with the candidate’s submitted application and the official group and attempt. Check whether the scorecard is provisional or final and whether the Cell has opened an answer-key objection or grievance process. If the issue concerns a question, answer key or score calculation, use the official objection or grievance facility within the stated window. Preserve the question identifiers, response details, payment receipt if any, and acknowledgement. Late requests may not be considered under the brochure’s process.
Do not share personal login information or full scorecard identifiers on public forums. For an account or download issue, contact the helpdesk listed in the current official notice and provide the application number through the official channel. Keep a copy of the correspondence. The resolution process and fee, if applicable, are cycle-specific; do not carry forward a past notice’s instructions.
A score is one part of admission
A percentile is not a college cutoff, CAP rank or admission offer. After the result, each course’s admission authority publishes its own CAP registration instructions, eligibility requirements, merit lists and allotments. The engineering portal and pharmacy portal are separate. Agriculture and allied programmes also have their own admissions material. A candidate with a valid MHT-CET score must still register for the relevant CAP, submit required documents, check the merit list, enter preferences and complete any seat acceptance or institute reporting steps.
CAP merit may use the examination score together with course eligibility, qualifying examination records and the applicable candidature or seat pool. A result in PCM does not automatically qualify someone for a PCB-only course, and a high percentile does not override missing documents or a programme’s academic rules. Read the specific CAP brochure and confirm that the score is accepted for the intended course and category.
Keep the scorecard available while comparing colleges, but use the appropriate admission list for decisions. Engineering CAP publishes separate Maharashtra State and All India records. Pharmacy has its own round-wise lists. The relevant result is the one that matches the course, year and seat pool you will apply under. If a campus or programme uses a separate institutional route after CAP, verify its notice directly; the MHT-CET result alone does not register you for that process.
Plan the next steps after downloading your score
Make a short post-result checklist: save the scorecard, read the course’s CAP notice, confirm eligibility and required documents, register by the CAP deadline, complete verification, review the provisional merit list, submit corrections if permitted, and follow the option form and allotment instructions. Use a separate checklist for every admission portal. Save each submitted form and confirmation receipt.
Do not build an option list from percentile alone. Review official previous-year cutoff data as historical context, compare course and institute details, and include a range of acceptable choices. Cutoffs vary by round, course, seat pool and category. Treat a predicted rank or unofficial college recommendation as a starting point for research, not as an official promise.
The 2027 result date, attempt rules and scorecard details remain pending until the State CET Cell issues the next official materials. Once announced, follow those instructions and the CAP authority’s separate calendar. The result tells you how you performed; the next admission steps determine how that performance is considered for a particular seat.
