Colleges Accepting

Published by Admission Guardian editorial deskUpdated 27 Oct 2026

“Accepting MHT-CET” depends on the exact programme

There is no single national list of colleges that accept every MHT-CET score for every course. The State Common Entrance Test Cell publishes course-specific admission portals and seat information. For Academic Year 2026-27, the engineering portal covers first-year undergraduate technical engineering and technology admissions, while the pharmacy portal covers B.Pharmacy and Pharm.D. Agriculture and allied degrees have separate admissions material. These routes do not share one cutoff table or one counselling calendar.

The official list of institutes and intake is a better starting point than a generic directory. Use the portal for the programme you want, then confirm the institute code, course name, university affiliation, status, autonomy or minority details, shift, intake and fee information for the correct year. A college name may refer to more than one campus or course. Check the exact code appearing in the CAP choice list before deciding that a particular branch accepts the score.

Engineering and technology

For engineering and technology, MHT-CET is used in the state’s CAP process for eligible courses covered by the relevant brochure. The 2026-27 FE CAP portal lists the participating institutes, intake, Maharashtra State and All India merit information, seat matrices, allotments and round cutoffs. Its published course scope includes first-year undergraduate engineering and technology courses and integrated engineering programmes specified on that portal.

Do not treat the portal’s All India list as proof that every non-Maharashtra applicant may use MHT-CET for every seat. Eligibility and accepted examination scores depend on candidature type, programme and seat pool. Read the current engineering brochure for the exact rule, and confirm your own documents. A candidate’s state, category and qualifying examination can affect the merit list and seat access.

The choice list should match both academic fit and affordability. Compare branch curriculum, location, campus, approved intake, university, hostel and total cost. Use official institute and fee links, not an old aggregate tuition figure. If you compare cutoffs, keep round, course, pool and category aligned. A closing rank for one institute code is not a cutoff for the entire college group.

Pharmacy and Pharm.D

B.Pharmacy and Pharm.D admissions are handled through the separate pharmacy CAP portal. The 2026 portal displays the institute list with intake, course details, fee approvals, merit lists and CAP cutoffs by round and candidate pool. Check whether you are researching undergraduate B.Pharmacy or the postgraduate Pharm.D route; they are different programmes and have different eligibility conditions.

For every option, verify the college code, course, intake, university affiliation and current approval details. Check the current brochure for whether your PCM or PCB score and qualifying examination satisfy the course rules. Do not use an engineering cutoff or a generic MHT-CET percentile predictor to estimate a pharmacy seat. The relevant pharmacy CAP list is the source for historical round outcomes.

The portal may also publish institutional quota or vacancy instructions after CAP. Such admissions have separate steps and deadlines. Follow the notice to determine whether a registered candidate may apply, how the institute prepares merit and what documents are needed. A vacancy announcement should not be interpreted as guaranteed admission based on a particular percentile.

Agriculture and allied programmes

Agriculture and allied courses use their own brochure and admission process. The official 2026 brochure lists programmes including Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Community Science, Agriculture Engineering, Food Technology, Biotechnology, Fisheries Science and Agri-Business Management. It assigns PCM, PCB or both according to the course. It also notes the relevant agriculture admission context for MHT-CET, JEE and NEET scores. These details are specific to those courses and that year; they are not blanket acceptance rules for all colleges or technical CAP seats.

Check the current agriculture programme list, university and institute details, group requirement, accepted entrance route, candidature and CAP process. The word “agriculture” can cover degree programmes with different subject requirements, so a PCB score should not be assumed to qualify for Agriculture Engineering, nor should PCM be assumed sufficient for every biology-oriented course. The next cycle’s brochure is the authority for updated rules.

How to verify a college before applying

Use a four-step check. First, verify the programme appears in the official current-year list. Second, inspect the institute code and course details, including intake and affiliation. Third, confirm that the candidate’s group, score and candidature type are eligible in that CAP. Fourth, inspect fees, location and any institute-level notice directly. Save the official page or PDF with the year and date, because a listing can change when approvals, intake or affiliation change.

When building a list, rank options by your actual preference, not by a single predicted cutoff. Consider the subjects and specializations you want, total cost, commute, accommodation, campus support and the institution’s official academic information. Keep realistic alternatives across more than one institute and branch. Previous CAP cutoffs can help you gauge past competition, but they are not promises for a new candidate pool or year.

MHT-CET is also not a universal route to MBBS or every medical programme. Do not infer that a PCB MHT-CET score is accepted where the course authority requires NEET. Similarly, MAH MBA/MMS CET is a different exam from MHT-CET. Search and verify by the complete programme name and current brochure to avoid confusing neighboring CET listings.

Current records and the 2027 cycle

As of 27 October 2026, the official 2026-27 engineering CAP portal states that its admission process is closed. The pharmacy portal continues to display late-cycle vacancy information and historical round records. These are live-cycle statuses, not 2027 announcements. Use the relevant new-year admission portal when the Cell publishes it, and verify the institute list, intake, accepted scores and deadlines again before applying.

A college appearing on a prior-year list is evidence that it participated in that specific cycle; it is not proof that the same programme, intake or seat route will remain unchanged. Confirm each choice from the current authority. If a programme’s score acceptance is unclear, contact the CAP helpdesk or institute admissions office and retain the response before paying fees.
