JEE (Advance) was earlier known as IIT-JEE. This is an annual college entrance examination for admission to IIT. It is said that it is one of the most difficult engineering entrance exams in the world. Nearly two lakh students have qualified for JEE (Advanced) after passing JEE (Main). This exam is scheduled on 27 Sep. Below are some important tips for success before the exam:
Tips for JEE (Advanced) Mathematics:
1) According to earlier year’s papers, more attention is needed on topics like vector and 3D than probability or indefinite integration. There is another chapter complex number. Every year 2-3 questions are asked from this chapter. Therefore, mastering complex numbers, vectors, 3Ds, and definite integrals should be the priority.
2) If you can represent functions in graph form, then algebra can be easy for you.
3) Differential calculus is closely related to the equation, especially if you use Rolls and Lagrange theorems.
4) Complex numbers can be used to solve questions in coordinate geometry. For Trigonometric questions, the application of De Mowre Theorem is required.
5) Permutation — Combination and Probability are other very important topics in algebra. You should be an expert in different methods of Bayes Theorem, Derangement, and Distribution. They are needed there.
6) Integral calculus can be simplified keeping in mind the use of certain tricks and some basic variations of integral functions. Memorizing properties and using them wisely saves a lot of time.
7) Practical knowledge and understanding of the parametric form of organic geometry are very important for understanding geometry.
8) Ultimately, the only way to do well in Mathematics is to solve the problems keeping in mind the questions asked in JEE paper in previous years.
Tips for JEE (Advanced) Chemistry:
1) The concept should be very clear. The focus should be on the application skills and information about the given syllabus.
2) To increase your speed, solve the most important numerical daily. Pay special attention to some basic topics like mole concepts, chemical equilibrium, and electrochemistry.
3) It is important to be very careful and restrained about organic chemistry. Pay special attention to stereochemistry, GOC (General Organic Chemistry), and functional group analysis.
4) Most of the questions asked in organic chemistry are conceptual. These questions relate to structure, process, and experiment. Pay special attention to chemical bonding and coordination chemistry.
Tips for JEE (Advanced) Physics:
1) In physics, mechanics is such a topic, which most experts do not consider to be scoring or numbering. But there is a side attached to this that it is the topic in terms of marks, in which the most questions are asked in the JEE paper. Therefore, this topic cannot be ignored.
2) But to ensure better performance, attention should also be given to topics which give second marks such as optics, electricity and magnetism etc.
3) Kinematics and particle dynamics are very important topics in mechanics. Questions related to this are always asked in JEE paper.
4) In terms of the number of questions asked in the old papers of JEE, mechanics, electricity and magnetism seem to be the most important topics.
5) Measurement & error and Thermodynamics are very important both in terms of physics and chemistry. So pay special attention to that.
6) Under optics, it would be wise to first study wave optics. This is because this part is smaller than ray optics. So it can be read quickly.
Common tips for cracking JEE (Advanced):
1) Maintain concentration and think positively during the preparation and exam.
2) Increase your speed. Seek the help of a prestigious mock test series, so that you have the passion to achieve success in the exam. Solve previous year’s IIT-JEE papers. Pay special attention to the weak topic and develop your concept.
3) It is very important to practice with JEE level questions. This increases your logical and analytical abilities.
4) Remember that not only the amount of time spent but the quality also matters a lot. So take a break of 5 to 10 minutes after every 1-2 hours of study. Relax during the break. Do yoga to increase the strength of peace, stability, confidence and concentration within you.
5) Do not burden yourself too much. 5 to 6 hours of sleep every day is very important. Especially for the IIT-JEE examination, keep yourself physically and mentally healthy for 3-4 days in advance. Freshness is maintained by taking a little nap in the middle of work. Also, avoid sleeping too late during the day.
6) Finally, if you find the paper very difficult then do not get upset or worried because relative performance always matters. Use your best analytical power at work and be confident in your preparation.
