WEJEE 2019

Introduction

West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination or WBJEE 2019 is a state-level qualifying exam conducted every year for admitting individuals into various UG Engineering and Pharmacy programs offered by the government and private colleges of the state. WBJEE is conducted by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEEB). This year WBJEE 2019 is scheduled for May 19. Officials had earlier announced that WBJEEB 2019 will be held on May 19. But due to its dates collapsing with JEE Advanced 2019, now notification has been issued that a new date will be announced soon. The exam will be conducted through offline (OMR) mode only but the form will be available online on the official website of the board. Online application forms for WBJEEB 2019 will be available from December 26, 2018. Candidates who meet the prescribed eligibility criteria will be able to complete the application forms by January 22, 2019.

Eligibility for UPSEE 2019

Educational Eligibility

All Indian citizens who fulfill the minimum educational eligibility criteria for admission to respective courses can fill up the form online.
The applicant must have passed 10+2 qualifying examination and have secured a minimum of 45% in it.
Biology stream is mandatory for pharmacy courses.
West Bengal domicile certificate is not required to apply.
Candidates only need to produce domicile certificate in order to apply for government participating institutes in case of claiming reserved category seats.

Age limit

Minimum age should be 17 years. There is no upper age limit.
For marine engineering courses, the maximum age is 25 years.

There are certain institutes who have outlined additional criteria for admitting candidates to specific courses.

Mode of Fee Payment

Applicants can make the payment either through online mode using a debit card/ATM card, online wallet etc or through offline mode (bank mode) by filling in the challan issued by UPSEE conducting body after filling the form.

Students who get low scores in WBJEE/UPSEE/JEE and other engineering entrance exams can also get admission in major engineering colleges and universities. Filling of Application Form

Candidates can follow these steps to fill application form of WBJEE 2019.

Registration

First of all, the candidates will have to register (registration) using their name, parents’ name, birth date, gender, e-mail id, mobile number etc. After registration, an application number will be sent to the candidate’s registration e-mail id.

Filling the application form

In the next phase, candidates will have to fill the WBJEE 2019 application form with their valid personal, academic and contact details.

Uploading documents

According to the instructions given, the candidate has to upload his photo and signature.

Availability of Admit card

Applicants who have filled the form correctly and are eligible will get the admit card online from the official website of Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Exam. Generally, it is made available a few days before the commencement date of examination. Applicants should take the print out of their admit card and paste a colored passport size photograph on it as per the guidelines. They will have to carry their UPSEE 2019 Admit Card to the examination center.
