2027–28 application window is not yet confirmed
The CEE materials opened on 27 October 2026 still concern KEAM 2026. I found no official 2027–28 application start date, deadline, fee table, portal instructions, or upload specifications. Do not register through an older portal or pay using last year’s fee table. When the new prospectus is published, use the active KEAM link on the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala website and follow that edition’s instructions. The official CEE notification feed is also important because it can announce an extension or a correction window after the prospectus appears.
KEAM is an umbrella admission application for multiple professional courses. The 2026 prospectus said a candidate should submit one online application for admission to any or all of the covered courses. Course selection in the form is still meaningful: it identifies the streams you want to pursue, but it does not waive a separate examination or eligibility condition. For example, the 2026 process used the CEE Engineering Entrance Examination for engineering, the Kerala Pharmacy Entrance Examination for B.Pharm, NATA for architecture, and NEET-UG for medical and medical-allied lists. Check the new prospectus before selecting courses or assuming one test covers all of them.
How the 2026 online form worked
The prior-cycle portal described a sequence of registration, entering basic and academic details, selecting courses and reservation claims, paying online, uploading photographs and certificates, and retaining the acknowledgement page. Applicants used an email address and mobile number belonging to themselves or a parent. The prospectus advised candidates to keep login credentials secure through allotment and to retain the application acknowledgement rather than mailing a printout to CEE. It also stated that application defects would be displayed in the candidate portal, with notifications sent electronically rather than by post.
Treat those steps as a preparation checklist, not current portal instructions. When the 2027–28 form opens, read each field carefully and compare your name, date of birth, qualifying-examination details, nativity, category, income, and course choices against the documents you will upload. Use the precise certificate and issuing authority required by the prospectus annexure. If you need a reservation or concession, indicate it in the correct field and upload the evidence before its deadline. A successful payment or acknowledgement does not prove that every uploaded certificate is accepted or that you qualify for a seat.
Fee and payment: use the current table
The 2026 fee table varied by course group and category. For that cycle, Engineering and B.Pharm listed ₹925 for General candidates, ₹400 for SC candidates, and no application fee for ST candidates. Architecture and Medical & Allied listed ₹650, ₹260, and nil respectively. These values are historical and should not be used to budget or pay for the 2027–28 intake. The current prospectus may change the amounts, categories, combination rules, or payment channels.
CEE’s 2026 prospectus directed applicants to pay online by card or internet banking. It explained that a successful transaction should produce a confirmation page. If communication failed and the result was unclear, the candidate was told to check the Payment tab in the candidate portal; the payment status should be successful before treating the application as paid. That is a useful troubleshooting model, but use the new cycle’s wording if it differs. Save the transaction reference and confirmation page. Do not pay a second time merely because the browser timed out; first check the portal and follow CEE’s current recovery instructions.
Documents, corrections and final submission
Before beginning, assemble a clear photograph and signature in the current specified format, proof of date of birth and nativity, qualifying-examination information, and any reservation, special-reservation, disability, or income documents relevant to your application. The 2026 prospectus required supporting documents to be uploaded online and told candidates to preserve originals. It also made clear that defects and status messages should be checked in the candidate portal. If a correction or additional upload window is announced, note its exact deadline and which documents it covers; do not assume every field can be edited after final submission.
Use a reliable email and mobile number that you can access throughout the process. Record the application number and keep the password private. Before the final submission, review every course choice and declaration. Download or print the acknowledgement and payment receipt for your own records. Then revisit the portal to see whether CEE has raised a defect. A pending document issue can affect the relevant rank list even if the form initially appeared submitted.
What happens after the form
Application and counselling are separate. After the applicable examination or external score, CEE publishes course-wise lists and notices. Candidates who qualify must follow the relevant option-registration and allotment steps within the stated dates. The 2026 prospectus said online option confirmation was mandatory before each allotment phase unless a notice stated otherwise. Check the exact course stream, rank list, document status, and options schedule that applies to you. Keep copies of choices submitted and each allotment or reporting confirmation.
For a 2027–28 application, use this sequence: confirm the new prospectus; identify the course and required test; prepare the matching documents; submit one accurate application; verify successful payment and acknowledgement; check portal defects; then track the relevant rank-list and CAP notices. The 2026 process provides context, but its deadline, fees, form fields, upload formats, and correction windows are not promises about the next cycle.
