Find your NIT, IIIT and GFTI options with your JEE Main rank.
Your selected rank list, state-code eligibility and gender are compared with official JoSAA 2026 round-5 rows. CSAB special rounds remain separate.
Exact programmes are compared with like-for-like opening and closing ranks from JoSAA 2026 round 5.
High, Medium and Low show current-cycle fit against the published cutoff.
Confirming your session. Choices are unavailable until it is resolved.
A predictor answers a narrow question: how does your rank compare with recorded cutoffs for the selected profile? Your final college decision also needs programme research, an affordable cost plan and a preference order you can explain. Use this guide after running the tool, before treating any result as a college choice.
This tool compares mapped Paper 1 options with JoSAA 2026 round 5 records. IIT admissions through JEE Advanced, Paper 2A B.Arch, Paper 2B B.Planning and CSAB Special require their own evidence.
Official matching rank available? Use it. Only a percentile? Treat estimated CRL as provisional OPEN-seat research.
Read the exact degree, duration and eligibility notes. A familiar branch name alone is not enough.
Check cost, location, documents and any programme restrictions before keeping the option.
Separate how much you want an option from how closely your rank fits its historical cutoff.
Use the relevant counselling portal for registration, choices, payment and document responses.
If an eligibility or cost question remains unresolved, return to research before finalising that option. Saving a shortlist or sending a college enquiry here does not submit JoSAA choices.
Create one row in your own notes for each exact institute and programme you would consider. Keep evidence and personal preference separate. A programme with a less demanding historical cutoff can still be your first choice; a highly selective option can be a poor fit for your interests or budget.
Download the free JEE Main shortlist workbook (.xlsx) ↓Compare three programmes, keep each cutoff's rank context and calculate first-year costs against your budget. No sign-in is required. Your entries stay in your own file; downloading it does not save a shortlist, send an enquiry or submit counselling choices.
Avoid ranking options by one placement headline. Check whether an outcome report covers the same programme and graduating batch, how many students it includes, and whether it reports median or highest pay. When comparable evidence is unavailable, leave that comparison unresolved rather than inventing a score. Use the engineering placement-report checklist to compare the same branch, batch and student group.
The download calculates first-year cash needs. For the full degree, use the four-year B.Tech cost worksheet to separate recurring charges, one-time payments and refundable deposits. Record each payment's deadline as well as its amount.
Start with the JEE Main accepting-college directory, open the institution's profile and follow its official notices. Use the cutoff explorer and choose Round history from an exact profile to compare available rounds.
You can research branches, compare costs and build a list of colleges you would attend before the exam. Use the 2026 cutoff profiles to learn how programme, rank list, quota and gender pool change a comparison. They do not establish a 2027 closing rank or your chances of a 2027 allotment.
Keep a question beside each option: is the branch suitable, is the cost manageable, and which admission route applies? Check the 2027 application checklist, exam dates and eligibility guide for the examination. For final choices, return to the official rank lists, seat matrix, programme conditions and counselling rules for your own admission year.
The items below are a preparation checklist, not an exhaustive list of required uploads. Requirements, formats and validity rules depend on the applicable counselling year and your profile. Read the relevant official instructions before uploading or paying.
For the recorded 2026 process, use the official JoSAA business rules ↗ and JoSAA FAQs ↗. For a later admission cycle, confirm the applicable year's published rules rather than assuming this historical release still governs. CSAB has a separate Special-round process ↗.
When you are ready to compare your own profile, return to the college predictor →. Check each result's evidence before choosing whether to contact that college. An enquiry is a request for information, not proof of eligibility or admission.
The JEE Main College Predictor compares the official Paper 1 rank matching your selected JoSAA seat type with 9,230 JoSAA 2026 round 5 rows. It applies state-code quota eligibility and gender pools, then returns historical-fit bands for exact programmes. These records do not predict 2027 closing ranks or allotment chances.

A prediction estimates historical fit. Seat availability, preferences and current-year counselling decisions still determine final allotment.
Official verification path
Use the Paper 1 rank list that matches the JoSAA seat type you selected. Verify participating institutes, eligibility, seat pools, business rules, seat matrices and closing ranks on the current JoSAA site before locking choices. Treat CSAB as a separate counselling dataset.
Results use 9,230 official Paper 1 rows from JoSAA 2026 round 5 across 103 mapped NIT+ institutes. The selected seat type, quota, Class XII state code and gender pool are kept separate. Each run checks one rank-list lane.
B.Arch, B.Planning and CSAB rounds are excluded from this Paper 1 result. High, Medium and Low compare the submitted rank with published final-round bounds.
Last verified
Choose the JoSAA seat type, then use its corresponding CRL, category rank or PwD rank from your final scorecard. Do not enter percentile, marks or a JEE Advanced rank.
Choose your Class XII state code of eligibility and gender. The predictor then filters official quota and gender-pool rows for the selected rank-list lane.
Review High, Medium and Low fit bands with the cutoff context available for each option, then verify your shortlist with the relevant admission authority.
For JEE Main Paper 1, first select the seat type you want to check. Enter CRL for OPEN, the matching category rank for GEN-EWS, OBC-NCL, SC or ST, or the corresponding PwD rank. Run each lane separately when more than one applies to you.
Release snapshot verified 4 September 2026. The broader institute map covers 106 of 114 official JoSAA 2026 NIT+ profiles. The predictor release is limited to Paper 1 programmes and does not include CSAB rounds.
| What you have | What to enter | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Official CRL | Select OPEN and enter the CRL exactly as printed. | OPEN cutoffs use CRL; they are not category-rank cutoffs. |
| Official category or PwD rank | Select the matching seat type and enter that rank list. | Official JoSAA 2026 category and PwD rows are kept separate. |
| Percentile only | Start with the JEE Main Rank Predictor for a broad planning range. | Use the official rank, once published, for final counselling research. |
| JEE Advanced rank | Do not enter it in this JEE Main tool. | IIT allocation uses JEE Advanced ranks; this tool covers JEE Main Paper 1 routes to NITs, IIITs and GFTIs. |
Before you shortlist
Read the cutoff context and check current admission rules before making choices.
The live predictor covers NIT+ admissions through JoSAA using JEE Main Paper 1 ranks, including engineering, integrated science and design programmes. Select the exact seat type first, then enter the matching CRL, category rank or PwD rank from the final scorecard. Reserved and PwD candidates can be eligible through more than one rank-list lane, so run each applicable lane separately.
The comparison keeps programme, seat type, quota and gender pool intact. Your Class XII state code of eligibility determines HS, OS and special state pools; it is not simply your current residence.
High, Medium and Low show where your rank sits against the official JoSAA 2026 round 5 opening and closing ranks. This is a direct current-cycle fit check, not a multi-year trend or an allotment promise.
This release does not mix CSAB special-round cutoffs, Paper 2A B.Arch or Paper 2B B.Planning ranks into Paper 1 results. Verify the current seat matrix, eligibility rules and final choice order on JoSAA before locking choices.
Yes, through the JEE Main Rank Predictor. Enter your final Paper 1 Total NTA Score percentile to get a broad, low-confidence CRL planning range. When a point estimate is available, select Explore colleges with this estimated CRL to open a prefilled OPEN-seat scenario. Percentile does not supply category or PwD ranks. If you already have an official Paper 1 rank, enter it directly in the matching JoSAA cutoff lane. Return with each official rank before making final JoSAA decisions.
Select the exact JoSAA seat type first, then enter its matching Paper 1 rank: CRL for OPEN, CRL-PwD for OPEN (PwD), or the relevant GEN-EWS, OBC-NCL, SC or ST category rank, including the corresponding PwD rank when selected. Do not put a category rank into the OPEN lane or enter marks, percentile, a Paper 2 rank or a JEE Advanced rank.
The College Predictor compares one Paper 1 rank-list lane with 9,230 official JoSAA 2026 round-5 opening and closing-rank rows across 103 mapped NIT+ institutes and 180 exact programme labels, including engineering, integrated science and design programmes. It preserves all 10 seat types, quota codes, gender pools and state-code eligibility. B.Arch, B.Planning and CSAB cutoffs are not mixed into this run.
No. One run evaluates one seat-type and rank-list lane so unlike ranks are never mixed. A reserved-category or PwD candidate may also be eligible for OPEN and should run each applicable lane separately with the corresponding official rank. Bookmark choices, open the current run's shortlist and select Keep these choices across runs before changing the rank list. The Choices across runs panel keeps each choice with its submitted rank, evaluated rank, state code, gender and cutoff context; What-If scenarios stay labelled separately. This page-only collection is cleared when you reload or leave, is not saved to your account and is not automatically included in a paid report.
Yes. Enter your name, valid mobile number and counselling profile to preview up to 3 named college matches with available branches without payment, login or OTP. Full candidate results, comparisons, exports and the ability to save colleges you choose require sign-in with a verified mobile identity. This does not change the underlying cutoff evidence.
Results show historical fit against official JoSAA 2026 round-5 cutoffs. High means the entered rank has a meaningful margin inside the observed closing rank, Medium means it is inside but closer to the boundary, and Low means it is outside. These are planning bands, not admission probabilities. Current choices, seat changes and later CSAB rounds can differ.
Use the recorded 2026 cutoffs to learn how the exact programme, rank list, quota and gender pool affect a comparison. This release does not predict 2027 closing ranks or allotment chances. Before results, compare branches, locations and costs in the college shortlist guide. Use the official ranks, seat matrix, programme conditions and counselling rules for your own admission year before final choices.
No. IIT admissions require a JEE Advanced rank. This release covers official JoSAA 2026 Paper 1 rows for 103 mapped NIT, IIIT and GFTI institutes. It excludes IIT, Paper 2A B.Arch, Paper 2B B.Planning and CSAB rows.
JoSAA runs the main joint seat-allocation process, while CSAB conducts separate special rounds for participating NIT+ institutions. The live comparison uses official JoSAA 2026 round 5, the final JoSAA round for the NIT+ system. The research corpus also preserves rounds 1-5 separately. CSAB Special uses CRL for every seat type, including reserved and PwD seats; JoSAA reserved-seat rows instead use the matching category or PwD rank. Read the separate CSAB CRL examples and source data. This predictor uses JoSAA only and does not calculate CSAB matches.
Home State eligibility normally follows the state code where you first appeared for Class XII, not your current residence. The predictor applies the 2026 JoSAA rules to AI, HS, OS and the special GO, JK and LA pools; verify exceptions in the JoSAA business rules.

These independent examples use official JoSAA 2026 round-5 Paper 1 records. Compare the correct rank list with the closing rank, then check the seat profile. A smaller rank number is better.
CRL 1,000 and OBC-NCL rank 1,000 are different positions on different lists. These examples do not convert one into the other. OS examples require the applicable Other State eligibility; all four examples use the gender-neutral pool. Enter your own official rank, seat type, Class XII state code and gender in the form for your shortlist.
Do not choose the more optimistic answer. Compare the same exact profile first and make each assumption visible. Different outputs can be legitimate when any item below differs; an unexplained difference is a reason to inspect the source row, not proof that either list is correct.
