XAT 2027 dates announced so far
The dates table is not a complete admission calendar. It covers the milestones the official XAT pages publish for the examination. Result publication, scorecard access and institute-level shortlisting may be announced later or handled on separate institute pages. XAT’s 2026 bulletin says each institution independently decides its admission process and the weight given to test components. Candidates should therefore keep a second calendar for every programme they intend to apply to.
The mock-test cutoff is earlier than the application close
The official home page announces an official mock test scheduled for 31 October and 1 November 2026 and says candidates must register for XAT by 28 October to become eligible. On the research date, 27 October, the stated mock eligibility date was the following day. That is a special cutoff for the mock opportunity. It does not replace or shorten the main registration deadline shown for XAT 2027.
If you want to use the mock, first check the live notice and complete the main registration in time to satisfy the announced condition. Keep the registration confirmation and verify that you can log in. Do not assume a later form submission will qualify for the mock just because the overall exam registration remains open. The official notice describes eligibility through registration timing; it does not promise a specific mock slot, technical setup or rescheduling arrangement in the page reviewed here. Follow any further instructions displayed in the applicant portal.
Registration and admit-card dates need separate checks
The schedule lists 6 December 2026 as the last date to register. The official registration page repeats the opening date, close date, tentative admit-card date and exam date. The dates page does not give a confirmed 2027 extension or correction window. If you see a later date quoted elsewhere, verify that an official XAT notice has changed the deadline before relying on it.
The admit-card date is explicitly tentative. A tentative download date is a planning signal, not proof that the card will be available at a particular hour. Sign in to the official application portal around the announced period and follow any current notice. Once the card is issued, check your name and application details, test centre, reporting instructions and exam slot. If a detail is wrong, use the official help route promptly; do not wait until exam day.
The examination time shown by XAT is 2 pm to 5 pm on 3 January 2027. Plan travel only after checking the final admit card, which controls the candidate’s assigned centre and reporting time. The schedule time does not establish when a candidate must arrive, what identity documents are accepted or which items are prohibited. Result dates and college deadlines are not yet one shared schedule
No result date was established in the official XAT pages opened for this article. Avoid converting the result timing from an earlier year into a 2027 promise. XLRI and other participating institutes may publish notices on different dates, and an institute can ask candidates to complete additional steps after results. Check your account and registered email, then confirm each programme’s selection process and response deadline from its own site.
The XAT 2026 bulletin lists associated institutes and instructs candidates to follow each institution’s own registration or application process. It also says institutes set their own selection weightages. That means one XAT score can lead to several parallel processes: an institute application, shortlist announcement, interview or assessment, and offer response. The XAT examination timeline cannot substitute for those programme calendars.
For each programme, note the exact intake year, application deadline, documents, assessment dates, fee payment and offer-response deadline. An old institute list is not confirmation that the same programme is accepting applications for 2027. Verify current participation and the correct campus directly with the institution.
How to keep the calendar current
Use the XAT home page for current announcements and the registration page for the published application dates. Save the date on which you checked the page and revisit it before each important step. Keep the mock registration cutoff separate from the main application close, and mark the admit-card date as tentative. After the admit card is issued, use its instructions for travel and exam-day planning.
As of 27 October 2026, XAT has announced the 2027 registration period and the 3 January exam date. The admit-card download date remains tentative, and the reviewed official sources do not give a 2027 result date. Institute-specific application and selection dates must be checked separately.
