JEE Main 2021 : Union Education Minister made these big announcements.

Regarding JEE Main 2021, Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank addressed the students on December 16th 2020. The Education Minister made a big announcement during his address. Nishank said that many major changes have been made on the basis of the suggestions received in relation to JEE (Main).

He informed that the examination will be conducted four times. The merit list will be prepared on the basis of the best scores from the four stages.

On his official Twitter handle Nishank wrote, “We have examined your suggestions regarding JEE (Main), and based on that, I am announcing the schedule of the exam.”

The Union Education Minister said that this time, there will be significant changes like a number of stages of JEE Main exam, the inclusion of regional language in the question paper, a changed exam pattern, increased number of exam centers.

First phase from 23 to 26 February

The Union Education Minister said that this time JEE Main 2021 will be held four times a year. Its first phase will be held from 23 to 26 February 2021.

This will be followed by the next three seasons in March, April, and May 2021. The examination will be conducted by the National Testing Agency i.e. NTA.

About 8-9 lakh candidates every year

Every year about 8-9 lakh candidates register for JEE Main for admission in IIT, NIT, other Centrally funded Technical Institutions (CFTI), Institutes / Universities funded/accredited / State Governments, the Union Education Minister added.

There will not be negative marking

Nishank said that NTA has prepared a new exam pattern for JEE Main 2021. Candidates have to answer only 75 out of 90 questions. There will be 15 objective type questions for which there will be no negative evaluation.

Students will get many opportunities

The Union Education Minister said that the pattern of conducting JEE Main 2021 four times in a year will give the students an opportunity to know their mistakes and weak areas. This change will give them many opportunities to improve their score. Which will enable you to prepare well in the next phase of the exam.

The paper will also be in 13 regional languages

JEE Main 2021 paper will be made available in many Indian languages including Hindi, English. Students can opt for any language of the question paper as per their convenience.

The major languages will be available in Hindi, English, Assamese, Gujarati, Bengali, Kannada, Marathi, Malayalam, Oriya, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu. However, questions will also be in the English language with all regional languages.

Eligible candidates of Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2021 can register online at jeemain.nta.nic.in. An application can be made for this at the start of the application window.

Registration Fee for JEE Main 2021

For JEE Main 2021, the fee will be exempted according to the different categories. Rs 650 for general / OBC category Indian students and Rs 3000 for foreign students.
