JEE Main Result Released, Learn How to Join JoSSA Counseling

National Testing Agency (NTA) released the results of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Mains 2020 held for admission in engineering seats across the country. In this, 24 candidates have got 100 percentile. Results can be seen on JEE Main website jeemain.nta.nic.in.

Five to 100 percentile from Delhi-NCR

Five candidates are from Delhi-NCR out of 24 candidates who achieved 100 percentile in JEE Mains 2020. They are Chirag Falor, Gurkirat Singh, Lakshya Gupta, Nishant Aggarwal, and Tushar Sethi from Delhi-NCR. It is to be known that in JEE Mains 2019 also 24 candidates got 100 percentile.

Eight students from Telangana have got 100 percentile, while four in Rajasthan, three in Andhra Pradesh, two in Haryana and one each in Gujarat and Maharashtra have got 100 percentile marks.

This is how counseling will be done

The Joint Seat Allocation Authority will conduct two mock rounds of counseling. This will be followed by seven counseling rounds. Seats will be allotted based on the options filled on the josaa.nic.in website. Candidates can know which seats they will get based on main mock counseling.

JEE Main Examination took place between 1 to 6 September. A total of 8.58 lakh students had registered for this examination for admission to engineering institutes funded by IITs, NITs, and Central Government, out of which around 74 percent had taken the exam.

Based on the results of JEE Main Exam one and two, the top 2.45 lakh students will be able to sit in the JEE-Advanced exam. The JEE Advanced exam is scheduled on September 27 and students who pass in it will get admission in IIT.
