Start with three separate jobs: confirm the official application requirements, build a preparation routine, and understand how your result will be used for admission. This guide connects those steps for B.E. and B.Tech applicants. Architecture and planning applicants should check their own paper and programme requirements.
At our 14 October 2026 review, the NTA information-bulletin page listed the 2026 bulletin. We have not verified a 2027 bulletin or timetable. Earlier exam dates and fee tables on this site are historical references, not a new application window.
Use the registration checklist to organise identity and school records, accessible contact details and any applicable category documentation. Keep a small record of the official notice, application number, payment receipt and confirmation page. Open the dates guide when you need to distinguish the application deadline from fee payment, correction, city intimation and admit-card release.
Use the syllabus guide to create a topic tracker and the preparation plan to organise practice. Record what went wrong after each timed set: an unknown concept, a calculation error, a misread question or time pressure. Pick the next revision task from that evidence instead of repeatedly taking tests without reviewing them.
Percentile is not percentage marks, and a percentile is not an All India Rank. Under NTA's 2026 Paper 1 rules, the better total NTA score is used for candidates who take both sessions; the best individual subject scores are not combined across sessions. Recheck the 2027 bulletin for the applicable rule.
Before the official rank arrives, the JEE Main rank predictor provides a planning estimate with stated limitations. Once you have a rank, use the college predictor and recorded JoSAA cutoffs with the matching category, quota, programme and round. Historical closing ranks do not promise a seat.
Build a shortlist that records the branch, campus, total cost, location and conditions you can accept. The counselling guide explains how to separate JoSAA, CSAB and other admission routes. For a shortlist review, contact Admission Guardian with your intended branch, budget and preferred states.
Reviewed on 14 October 2026. Official NTA information bulletin. The bulletin available at review covered 2026; this page does not treat its dates, fees or eligibility as confirmed 2027 rules. Check the next-cycle notice before applying.

Your NTA score (percentile) reflects how you performed relative to all other test-takers in your shift. It is not a direct percentage of marks. After each session, NTA releases subject-wise and aggregate percentiles. If you appear in both sessions, your best percentile in each subject determines your final All India Rank (AIR). The category-wise cut-off for JEE Advanced eligibility is declared with Session 2 results. For 2026, the qualifying cut-off percentile for General was 93.4123549, EWS 82.4164528, OBC-NCL 80.9232583, SC 63.9172792, ST 52.0174712, and PwD 0.0023186. Your scorecard shows final NTA scores and qualifying status for JEE Advanced.
Move between distinct planning steps. Each destination owns a different question, so the guidance stays useful instead of repeating the same page.
